Not sure if this really counts as 'Starco', but it's cute nonetheless. ^^ I sort of gave up on the background, but I might revisit it and re-do it later.

Hi, IΒ΄m here because of the game comment tag hosted by the Group ProjectComment Β and my tag word was "action". This artwork of yours has obviously some action in it and because the beautiful background caught my eye I chose to comment on this piece of art of yours. Whenever I take a look at artworks uploaded here I also read the given descriptions. In your description you said you sort of gave up on the background and I wonder what you mean with that. Because in my opinion the background does not look like you gave up on it at all. It is quite the contrary I think. When I take a look at this background I see a beautiful and detailled one which supports the characters in a good way without catching away to much of the viewers attention from the characters in the foreground. That is why I would interpret this "I sort of gave up on the background" a bit as fishing for compliments and making your artwork and your skills look small. You neednΒ΄t do that because this background and the whole artwork is something you can be proud of. DonΒ΄t belittle yourself.
As much as I like the background and its design, I also like how you drew the characters. In my opinion, the anatomy, shading and colouring looks quite good and I like the fact that you added a shadow for both of them.
All in all this is indeed a pretty piece of art with an eye catching background. I was the last Player in the tag line, so there is no Need for a new tag word

What I meant when I said that I 'gave up on the background' is that I originally was planning to have the background be inside a room in the house that the characters live in. However, I couldn't find a good mental image for the background, so I ended up going with a less detailed, but fun background instead. Which, while no less pretty, still counts as 'giving up' on the background. xD

Yeah, I was actually surprised myself at how good it was. I'm not a fan of the animation style and only watched it because it was recommended to me by a friend.
