They don't let Pit play the game.

Day 27 of OC Challenge (playing video games)

So, for this prompt, I knew that I wanted to have at least the three Human!angels playing video games, and then also decided it'd be fun to have Palutena in the mix.

I haven't played the game in a while, but while I remember Pit being at least a little bit competitive, especially when it came to Dark Pit, he definitely doesn't take it quite as seriously. So while he's good at competitive games, Pittoo is just absolutely ruthless when it comes to trying to get the win. Pair that with Lydia's willingness to act like she's 'teaming up', only to stab his character in the back, and Palutena just being good at it, and poor Pit gets knocked out first a good 50% of the time.

It is, however, only 50%, because he spent a lot of time just watching them play, and now he knows their strategies.
