For the hair, I just took a small pixel brush (about a 1.9-2.1 pixel brush) zoomed in and painted the hair strand by strand. Then I ocasionally zoom out to see the full peice to see if the hair looks right or not. ^^

Acually, the hair is the only thing I really do have patience for, the skin and stuff I usually just slap on quickly and hope it looks alright. ^^'
