The story behind this picture?

Well... We have a mare, Her name is Casey.

She gave birth about two weeks ago {{<333333}}.

Well, Saturday was the first day that I saw the colt.

And when we got there, we saw that he had a wound about the size of a half dollar on his hip. From the barbed wire fence.

We concluded he got it when Chisem jumped the fence into the pin with Casey, the colt, and Smokey Joe. The colt was between the fence and his momma, and was spooked by the larger horse jumping over.

Anyways. Daddy and I had to catch him.

Thank god one of my many cousins appeared and helped.

{{He also helped us worm Chisem. Stupid ass horse.}}

We caught the cold easily enough, and momma didn't kill us.

Anyways. We had to get a halter on the colt. Sounds easy right? Well, it was.

But the halter didn't fit right.

Daddy had to go look for his hole puncher, and he left me in charge of holding the colt.

I grabbed him like you're supposed to. One arm around his neck, and the other on his back side to keep him calm. I did, and was petting him.

...

Then he decided that he wanted to lay down.

Surprisingly, he isn't that heavy. It was just like having my yellow lab on my chest. And he was just a tad lighter than her. <<;

BUTTTTTT. Colts are warm and fuzzy. o-o. I would love to see him again. <333

I can't wait.

Yeah. We're still trying to name him. I STILL like Spirit. <<;
