Description
Because Sally feels natural for me to draw (she got me into drawing seriously in the first place, LONG LIVE SONIC) I decided to use her as my guinepig (sp?) for getting movement in proportion down. Tell me what you think, and give me some advice, I know there are much better artists out there who can share thier talents ^_^Related content

then I'm totally jealous of you to be able to grasp and draw out such poses with such precision!

Wow. o.o
As always, your sense of angle, line, and reverse curve are fantastic in this picture. I love the way that the jacket falls, and the extra detail-lines are just neat. ^.^()
Now...let me state here...that your artwork is miles beyond what mine could ever hope to be. The only reasons that I'm offering these suggestions at all is that, though I can't ever touch your knowledge of proportion...in my younger days, I was actually a fairly accomplished acrobat. ~.^
Technially speaking, in this position, Sally's armpits should almost be exposed - the shoulders rotate open as opposed to closed. (nice little rhyme, don't you think? ~.^) This will, with a good acrobat, set the fingers pointing backwards toward her heels, and the palms will always bear most of the weight. Now...I'm a little hesitant about this next point because I'm really not sure whether she's a gymnast or an acrobat. If she's a gymnast, then you're dead-on right with the head position - but an acrobat would pick the head up further, closer to the center of the back.
Last and by the far least, something really interesting happens when someone as thin as Sally is bent into this position - the ribcage juts out sharply at roughly a 90 degree angle with the pelvis...and there is a little plateau across the abdomen.
With all of that said - your understanding of the way that the legs work in this pose is truly outstanding, and the general line is nothing short of beautiful ^.^.

Awesome posework I think I'd give myself a headache trying to draw a pose like that. Great job!

mmm.. her right arm looks a little thin, and more of her hand/fingers should be pressed to the ground harder but other than that i really see nothing wrong with it. nicely drawn angle/postiton

Wow, that's pretty good. Have you thought of looking at gymnasts to see how they bend or move to get good proportions. The only thing I can see and it's minor is the arm socket joint, it looks disjointed a bit, but it's only a small thing, the rest looks great!
