Description
Day 1-10: It's Freezing! It all started today with news about
movement on a barren wasteland know as
LV-426. I knew this was going to be trouble
anyway, becuase of rumors that a killer
was waiting in the darkness, but I never
knew what was lurking in the depths of
the planet. We were all suited up and ready
to go, but I felt like something was missing,
something really important and that if I
didn't check for it when I really needed it,
it wouldn't be there, because I'm careful
like that. Landing was tricky yet alone staying
there! I felt like I was on the far side of
Pluto wearing nothing but my underwear!
Soon we realised that was because our Therma-
gear was left off during the entire trip there
so the entire team had to stay in the ship for
an hour or so before we could even go outside
and t was still freezing! The time it took for
us to get there was ages so I'll skip on
ahead to day 11.
Day 11: Head or Tail?
I couldn't sleep the night before day 11.
I can't even be bothered to think of the date
because time slipped away from us before we
realised it. When we got into the deep crevices
of Planet LV-426, we realised that mechanisms of
every kind were jammed into a large crack in a
wall, as if the crack was an escape pod! But thats
just ridiculous, so I thought it was just
scrathces and marks left by the biological being on
this planet. (I've forgotten to introduce myself.
my name is Dr. Blút, which is a strange name,
but I'll exlain that I'm a German Scientist
and my family name means 'Blood', which would also
explain that my families proffesion is studying blood
of all things in the universe, including things that aren't
actually living, per sé) I was very excited of the fact that
I wasn't the only intelligent being on this polar excuse
for a planet(because the soldiers who came on the trip
clearly only knew how to look at something and fire a weapon!).
The crevices, continuing on, went on down through to a ship-
like machination into a large, empty chamber that reached
out for miles out. I started to hear a slight murmur of wonder
and confusion as a very thin layer of unnoticed mist cleared
out to reveal hundreds and thousands of egg-shaped items
that opened when anyone had moved to close, as if they felt
where we were at the very moment we entered the room!
When the 'eggs' hatched, the contents was stunning, at
the time. What shot out was what seemed to be a giant arachnid
without it's head with an elongated
abdomen, stretched and thinned into a VERY long tail.
This creature, when it shot out, wrapped it's tail around
Cpl. Grelt's neck and used it's thorax and legs to 'hug' the
Corporal's featured side of his head and somehow knocking
him out clean!
Later when we got the Cororal back to the ship and tried
to remove the creature that had ejected out of the 'egg'
without prevail, unfortunately, but severely wounding his
right shoulder, nearly ripping his head and shoulder off altogether
and the creature unharmed!
Day 12: Remarkably cruel!
The next day was probably the most shocking and glorious
(in my opinion) occurance that had happened at that time of my
career as a hematologist (Hematology is the study of blood,
blood types and blood diseases) as Cpl. Grelt was awake and
well for about an hour (yes, an hour!) until the most disturbing
thing I have ever seen happened. The Corporal's chest
literally burst apart as a long, blind (as it seemed)
serpent broke his ribcage apart like a knife through
butter. I screamed like a little girl as the serpent slithered
into my main chamber. I sealed it, not knowing what had
become of the serpent until it was too late, as, within
hours, it grew into the most unusual of things. I cannot put
it's appearance into to words directly, as it's features
were too vague as it's speed made it unclear for me to see
it's features properly.
Day 13: Three Things: Run, Run and Die!
When I went into my chamber to see if the creature had died
of hunger, but I heard a hissing that confused me even more
and a kind of liquid that felt like saliva, and when I looked up,
the serpents face had turned black and seemed to have a into-
exoskeleton (Which means it's outer layer was like an ants only
thicker and was more of a natural armour while still having internal
bones), so I ran towards the laboratory where inpenetrable glass
had been installed, meaning if it was shut, nothing could come in
or out without opening the door, and I begged for my life
that the 'serpent' didn't know how to open doors! After waiting a while
I soon saw some of the soldiers come running like a chicken
away from the creature, but obviously didn't know where to go
after a corridor because he just screamed at the creature as..
something went from the creature's mouth straight through his forehead,
into the inside of his head. And it stared at me. I bet if it
had a real toungue, it would've licked it's lips as the, as they
seemed, second row of jaws protruded from it's mouth and back
in. I knew that I wouldn't survive no matter what I did.
Day 19: A plan.
6 days had passed and more and more of those
creatures had entered the ship. When I woke up a small
spark caught my eye. A small wire hanging down from the
ceiling had started to try and power up again, and that gave
me a thought. I could try to power up the ship manually from
the laboratory. Every room in this ship had a manual override
switch somewhere and I knew where the one in the laboratory
was. It had taken me a while to move the desk without the
serpents 'sensing' me, I should say, as they had no ears,
noses or eyes. I managed to push the desk using up all of my physical
strength to do so, without making much sound to aggravate
the serpents.
When I had pushed the power-up lever into place, the lights turned
on with a flash and crackle, the ship had completely powered-up!
With this, I could see a small air shaft near the ceiling above the switch.
There were enough rolling tables to place under the air shaft to reach up to it,
and using my available upper-body strength, lifted myself up into
the shaft. For now, I thought, I was safe. Oh, how wrong I was.
Day 20-24: A Sudden Burst of Luck.
I woke with a startle in the middle of the night as I heard
a loud, alarming screech that kept me up for days on end.
I felt tired and weak as I crawled slowly through the shafts'
corners and openings, trying to find a room with any other living
Human inside, only to find it empty or bloodied with dead bodies
lying here or there. I heard the screech again after passing
the armoury, thankfully I didn't actually go in the armoury
bacause there was several of the serpents crowding around
a few Cryogenic Receptors(Which are little explosives that
shoot out a gas that freeze and poison the lungs of anything
and everything). They must've been attracted to the cold,
or the elaborate retainment capsules, which, I have to admit,
looked like thier heads in a way.
Following into the air shaft, I came face-to-face with a
serpent. Crawling as fast as I could backwards, I went
into every corner I could find, hoping to lose it, until eventually
I fell into a large, hollow room that felt somewhat claustrophobic,
even though there was nothing to be seen except-
There was no time to see clearly what was there, only that
there was me, and a biological killing machine. When I look closer,
there was nothing. Just me being in a hollow, claustrophobic room.
I stayed in the hollow room for a few minutes, trying to think of
what had just happened. I completely forgot where I was for the
next couple of days, and when I got outside, I realised that
leaving the ship was the biggest mistake I had ever made.

It's a really good story. It gripped me. I am surprised none else has commented yet.

Thank you very much! I really didn't expect someone to comment this because last time I checked this was on like page 20 on searching the exact name so thank you again!
