Bern is a shining (no pun intended) example of what a GOOD tickle monster is like. With an extremely friendly, gentle, and caring personality, Bern is very good at making friends with children of all ages. In fact, he even wound up becoming roommates with none other than Tech after a rather humorous failed attempt at a tickle attack on him. Bern and Tech get along perfectly, since the two of them share so many similarities and likes.

Bern's methods of tickling are quite varied, even among others of his kind. His soft, fuzzy fingers are perfect for scribbling over soles or in the hollows of armpits, and absolutely excruciating in bellybuttons. His super fluffy and bushy prehensile tail is great at both sweeping over ticklish tummies or feets, or for encircling midsections and wiggling all about. Bern's soft, puppy-like tongue is amazingly effective when swiped over skin, and his quick, powerful, and persistant manner of licking is sure to drive anyone into hysterics no matter where it's used. He can even summon up big, fluffy golden feathers, up to twenty at a time, to magically float around and tickly anywhere or anyone he sees fit. But his most effective, absolutely EVIL method of tickling is none other than his signature Death Raspberry. Where Bern will pin his victim down, take an unnaturally long and deep breath, and then proceed to unleash an UNBEARABLY powerful raspberry on their belly, lasting a full three minutes and using his tongue to slurp at the inside of their navel all the while. Very few have been able to withstand the Death Raspberry and not find themselves totally exhausted!

But, after all the tickling is said and done, or in the event that he decides to forgo it (Truth is, you only need to ask and he won't ) Bern is as good of a cuddle buddy to children and friends as he is a tickler. His crimson fur is incredibly thick, warm, and silky soft. His chest fluff makes a fantastic pillow, and his floofy tail is a great blanket. Bern also has an adorable habit of purring when really comfy or when his belly or hair is petted or rubbed, and it has an almost lullaby-like effect on others. In additon, Bern can also glow in the dark, letting off a dim, warm orangish-red light on the surrounding area, and making himself visible even in pitch darkness. This effectively allows him to act as a nightlight for children who enjoy it, or who are afraid of the dark.

When not on duty, Bern enjoys reading, watching tv, or playing video games, provided they're not overly violent or innapropriate. He's very relaxed and has no problem with letting others pet him. He's also quite ticklish himself, especially on the stomach and under his arms, which is his worst spot.

Lastly, Bern is incredibly uncomfortable around those who are scared or sad, especially those who are scared of him. And he'll try his absolute hardest to cheer them up or calm them down. If not, Bern will often get rather upset himself, sometimes even winding up crying ashamedly.
