"Brothers and sisters, I ask you...what would Jesus do?"

It crawled under a church many years ago.
Every child that goes missing, every person plastered on a telephone pole who goes to the small-town church belonging to Pastor George Roy Allen...they are dead minutes after they go missing. You won't be finding their bodies, either.

The result being whispers that the men whom founded that modest little building were devil worshiping, human sacrificing people of darkness. Of course, many ignored these rumors. And they were right to. The "devil" wasn't to be blamed here, nor demons, nor anything that is as the usual blame for bad things that happen. It is this...a common synx.

Keeping it's little home inside a snakelike hole, under this house of worship, has made a little oddity come around:

A synx that spouts religion, christian phrases.

Like a parrot, this creature mimics it's prey above in the voices carried to it. These tones include the good Pastor's-- "Praise Jesus!" -- ...it's usual prey, children-- "I like Jesus, do you like Jesus?"-- ...and a few rather unbecoming rants by one of the more primitive churchgoers-- "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!". The creature has not even merely the teeny-tiniest inkling of what those words mean that it is repeating, but not being the brightest of creatures, this synx randomly interjects them when spoken to.

Wolfie is tied to this synx sometimes, as therapy. It was recovered when the church was at long last torn down...to reveal countless human bones underneath.
The creature was taken as any animal, to a shelter where it was assigned to Wolfie after one of xer non-medicated episodes.
