Wow. I'm finally done. This took forever...I was trying to do a good coloring job and the drawing itself took a long time because I felt that I owed it to Zuko and Katara to draw them well. This is my very first ever piece of Zutara fanart, and I have to say that I'm pretty proud of it because of all the effort and time I put in. However, I'm always open to critique, in fact, I encourage it, because I have a LOT to learn still. So please, let me know what you think. And it definitely looks better in full view, btw (at least, I think so).The scene turned out differently than what I had originally thought it would be (as it so often does), and I'm not quite sure of the story here (feel free to write one if you'd like), but Katara had collapsed from exhaustion or pain or something of that nature, and Zuko was there to pick her up and carry her home safely like the silent hero that he is. However, he didn't quite expect how much holding her that close to him would affect his heart rate....and how soft and warm and right she felt being in his arms. He just doesn't know quite what to do with her, and about her.
Poor Zuko, what a dilemma, because at this point in the series she doesn't exactly like him, and he can't let any of his own feelings get in the way of training Aang...and that's not even taking into account Aang's feelings for the lovely waterbender. This is why the following song made me think of Zuko's situation with Katara right now....

....This recent Zutara obsession was inspired by Fandomme's fanfiction Stormbenders...its so awesome, character development and what not, you could actually believe all of it happening in the show.

lol ok not really, but who knows, maybe it will after the new episodes come out! Though personally I'm hoping fore more progress than us finding out that Zuko has feelings for Katara

For some reason it seems to me like Zuko would fall in love with Katara first, then she falls in love with him, and then all of us Zutarians fall in love with avatar all over again.

Yeah, I definitely think Zuko would be the first to fall...Katara's too oblivious and Zuko being a teenage boy couldn't help but notice how good-looking she was lol

Oh, they are so beautiful. I see it now: Katara and Zuko had gone for a walk, to find food or something. She didn't exaclty trust him by himself. Or that's what she said. The day seemed fine, until they were attacked. Everything wasn't going as well and Katara had to bloodbend. The full moon helped her bending, but it was something she dreaded to do. Finally, they won. However, it came at a cost. She was weakened greatly. Zuko wondered what everyone would say or think when they saw him carry her back to camp. But seeing her so peaceful, so beautiful, all thoughts of anyone else was gone. She was the only one that mattered. He carried her back to camp, heart racing.

Stormbenders lost me after 2 or 3 chapters, but hey, if you like it, that's fine.
The only thing I can't help but wonder is, where's Zuko's right hand?

It's hidden underneath Katara's massive amount of hair
And its true, Stormbenders did have kind of a slow start because it was so different, but I really like the latest chapters, its much more Zutara and plot driven.

The good news is, once the show starts back up again, it's one episode every night all week, leading up to the 2-hour finale on Saturday. We pretty much get it all at once!

Lol heck yes I am....it just makes so much sense. I'm not necessarily against all the other ships, even the competing ones, but to me, Zutara just has the most potential and beauty to it.

I read all of Stormbenders, all 15 chapters, last night. Started after dinner, around 5:30; Finished roughly 11:45, 11:50.
Great story. I know, it's not yours, but I want to thank you for getting me interested. Now, however, I've grown impatient waiting so long for a new chapter...

Beautiful colors, and good anatomy.
I would suggest that maybe you study shading fabric some more, maybe makeing the shadows a little more darker and defined seeing as it is a night scene.
I love the consept too, it makes me go all fangirly!

Thanks for the advice, its good stuff...its true I really haven't studied fabric that much, mostly I just kind of guess at it. As for the shadows thing, I guess I was just afraid of making it too dark and losing some of the pretty colors
