Description
The New Players

The Big Hero 6 and Spider-Man had relocated to Fred’s large mansion house where they remained in hiding after their fight with the Sinister Six. While watching news feed of where the fight had taken place, and learning the terrible new of the villains escape, the team explained to the web-slinging hero how everything in their city had been fine until the odd flash of light. From there Spider-Man, recounting his own events connected with the flash of light in his city, surmised that it was the same force that had brought both himself and the Sinister Six to San Fransokyo.

“So there’s superheroes in your world too?” Fred, unmasked and unsuited like some of the others, had asked. “Like real, legit ones?”

“What do you mean ‘real’ and ‘legit’?” Wasabi had asked, him and GoGo giving annoyed looks at him for the comment.

Despite this Spidey had answered “Pretty much. Although aside from Tony Stark and maybe Reed Richards not a lot of them have impressive tech like you guys.”

“You can thank our man, Hiro, for that.” Fred pointed out. “Kid’s got the mind and the magic.”

“Well I don’t want to brag.” Hiro waved it off.

“Even though we know you’re going to.” GoGo commented.

Honey Lemon then chimed in with “You seem to be pretty up-and-up on your science too. Are you a professor or something?”

“With that voice?” GoGo smirked and scoffed. “Come on. He’s at least 18.”

“Actually 16.” Spidey answered before covering his mouth and saying “Shoot! I was trying to keep that secret!”

“16!?!” Wasabi responded. “You’re no Spider-Man, you’re a Spider-Boy.”

“How do you even do it?” Hiro asked him. “Adhesive gloves and boots along with some sort of synthetic web shooter?”

“Well, yeah. Basically.” Spidey replied. “At least the second part. The first part is….complicated.”

Suddenly Baymax chimed in with [Scans have identified signs of mutation in the subject’s DNA.]

“Whoa.” Fred responded before pointing out “So you’re like a mutant?”

Trying to bring the conversation back Spidey said “Uh maybe we should focus on the REAL issue. Like how I got here and how I can get back to New York. MY New York.”

“Where would we even start?” Hiro asked. “I mean if you don’t even know how you got here then we’d have no idea.”

“Perhaps I can be of some help.” a voice from almost nowhere has suddenly said, startling all of the young heroes.

Appearing nearby and near scaring all of them was a ghostly figure. He, as the voice indicated, had a blue aura around him as his transparent body was covered only by a hooded robe.

While everyone else tensed Fred, taking the sight in, exclaimed “First supervillains and mutants, now ghosts! Is this turning into one of the best days ever or what?”

After GoGo shot him down, telling him to take it more serious, Hiro had said “Baymax. Scan it.”

After a quick use of his scanners Baymax responded [So life sign detected. Unable to identify.]

“So it IS a real ghost.” Spidey replied. “Great. Today is just getting weirder and weirder.”

“Please. I mean you no harm.” The ghost finally said. “In fact I’ve come seeking your help.”

“Us?’ Honey Lemon asked. “Why?”

“Because Spider-Man and his foes are not the only ones to have become displaced. In fact even now other heroes and villains are at work to try and bring the powers of the very objects that have caused this chaos in the first place together for their own benefits. The Infinity Stones.”

Hearing that Spider-Man sighed “Of course. Now it’s starting to make some sense.”

The ghost continued “But this is all just a grander scheme by the both Thanos, the one responsible, and the being known as the Grand Master. We fear that they intend to use the Stones not to fix what has happened but to use their power for their own advantages, with the displaced acting as their pawns. That is why I’ve sought you all out. None of you have been contacted or used by either beings and thus could prove more helpful than you realize.”

The heroes all looked among themselves curiously, some shrugging and others nodding that maybe they should help, before Hiro had asked “Who even are you?”

In response the ghost dropped his hood, revealing a still transparent, blue face as he explained “In life I was known as Qui-Gon Jinn. The form you know see me as is my fullest connection with the Force. Together, Spider-Man, and the Big Hero 6, we can save all of reality itself.”

Stitch began to wake, his head feeling three sizes too big. The little alien groaned as he sat up suddenly, realizing he was in some sort of cell onboard a ship, the Milano. He turned, seeing the glass wall and doorway between him and the others sitting outside. Rey, Merida, BB-8, Star-Lord, Rocket and Groot were all looking in on him after they were alerted to him being awake.

When Stitch began speaking his alien language the humans looked oddly at each other, Merida pointing out “Don’t know what he’s saying. But he sounds confused.”

Rey looked down and asked “BB-8, can you translate at all?” He beeped and whistled a reply, Star-Lord asking before she explained “He’s only getting bits and pieces. Something about wanting to know why he’s here and not on a beach, or something like that.”

“I am Groot.”

“Wait. YOU understand him?” Rocket asked.

“I am Groot.”

Rocket sighed with annoyance and replied “Fine, fine. Just tell us what he’s saying.” Everyone listened as Groot gave his usual three-word response before he explained “The little blue thing says there was a bright flash and he wound up on Morag. Next thing he knew the symbiote got a hold of him and everything went dark.”

“Good thing he wasn’t attached to it for too long.” Star-Lord commented. “Otherwise we might never have been able to get it off as easy as we did.”

“What do you mean ‘we’?” Merida snarky asked with BB-8 beeping in the same tone.

Despite this Rey pointed out “Wait. So he must’ve gotten lost like we did.” She indicated Merida. Turning back to Stitch she said to him “I don’t know if you can understand me but I want you to know we’re in the same mess as you are.” Pointing to Merida and BB-8 she said “The flash or whatever it was brought us to that planet too. We’re trying to get back.” Indicating the member of the Guardians she added “They’ve agreed to help. Hopefully we can help you too. If you’ll trust us.”

Looking at her and the others the little blue alien seemed to understand. His wide, dog-like eyes scanned each of them and could sense that for the most part they were ones to be trusted.

“Stitch understands.” He said, surprising some of them that he could speak this entire time.

“Would’ve saved us a lot of trouble five minutes ago.” Star-Lord commented before opening the door to let Stitch out.

Some introductions were made among the heroes before he replied “My name Stitch.”

“I am Groot.”

Looking at the living tree he replied “My name Stitch.”

“I am Groot.”

“My name Stitch.” His tone getting annoyed which was soon matched by Groot’s.

“I am Groot!”

“My name Stitch!

“I am Groot!”

“My. Name. Stitch!”

“Alright! Enough already!” Rocket insisted. “Sheesh!”

“Beat me to it.” Merida commented under her breath.

After that odd exchange Rey and Star-Lord walked with each other, the later saying “Don’t worry. We’ll find a way back to whatever planet you guys came from.”

“I’m not sure where those two came from.” Rey pointed to Merida and Stitch, the two talking with Groot and Rocket along with BB-8. “She says she’s from somewhere called ‘Scotland’. I’ve never heard of any system like that.”

Star-Lord gave her an odd look before saying “Scotland’s a place. It’s on Earth.” Seeing her confused reaction he responded “Oh, I see. Guess you’re not Terran then. Well we’ll figure that out later too. Hopefully it’s on the way to Nowhere so we can collect on capturing that little nescience.” He pointed to a nearby container, shaped like a bubble, where the symbiote slithered and smacked against the glass. As Rey jumped a little he assured her “Don’t worry. That little sucker’s not going anywhere.”

Rey gave a relieved sounds before turning and smirking “You know you remind me of someone. An old friend. He was sort of like you, an outlaw turned hero.”

“His name wasn’t Charles Bronson by any chance, was it? Dirty Dozen?” he asked. When she shook her head he shrugged “Had to ask.”

Suddenly from above in the cockpit everyone below heard Gamora call “Peter! You might want to see this.”

He along with the others all rushed up, Rey taking her time to make sure everyone else was up first. One-by-one they arrived, crowding around the seats along with where Gamora and Drax were seated, before seeing what had gained her attention. Orbiting a nearby unrecognized planet with a forest moon they saw two ships in a heated dog battle; Gamora explaining that their maps had been interfered with by some unknown force related to the planet itself.

As Star-Lord was about to tell Gamora to skirt around it, Drax making a comment about why a ‘woman’s garment’ would have anything to do with it, Rey suddenly said “Wait! I know that ship!” she pointed at the Millennium Falcon and then, looking to Star-Lord, insisted “We have to help them. They’re my friends!”

The Guardians all looked to Star-Lord, he sighing and saying “Get the main batteries ready. Let’s not use the heavy stuff. Don’t want to blow the wrong people out of the sky.” He looked to Rocket and said “That means you!”

“Spoil all the fun why don’t you?” the raccoon commented.

As Rey thanked Star-Lord Drax, looking to him in the seat nearby, had asked “Is the reason you’re choosing to adhere to this female’s requests because you’re attracted to her?” Everyone, especially Rey and Star-Lord gave him ‘what the hell’ looks, his response being “Just a question.”

Star-Lord rolled his eyes before Gamore gave him a look, he shrugging “What?”

Both the Jedi and Mulan used all their skills against Frost Beast on Hoth. The battle had started less than in favor of the heroes, the beast using its size and strength to swat and smash at them. He missed Ahsoka and Obi-Wan barley on several occasions but several of the Clone Troopers had perished in the process. The lightsabers were able to pierce through its tough hide though it did not fully slow the monster.

In the end it was thanks to Mulan they were successful. As the beast was distracted she took the opportunity and went for a nearby cliff head, standing just high enough above the monster’s head. She waited until it was in the right spot before jumping down, her sword pointed right for the skull where it made contact. After only a brief moment of struggling it fell forward dead in its tracks.

Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and the remaining Clones came forward, the young padawan commenting “Whoa! Impressive moves. Where’d you learn that?”

In answer she shrug and replied “Just made it up on the spot actually. Last time I tried something like this I caused an avalanche.”

Obi-Wan, smiling, added “Good thing it didn’t come to that.” Looking over the remains of the monster he commented “I’ve never seen or heard of any species like this. Especially on Hoth.”

“Probably another misplaced thing from another world.” Ahsoka guessed. “Let’s just hurry and get the stone before…. Wait! Where is it?”

Everyone looked in surprised to see she was right: the Time Stone was gone. An indent in the ice still remained from where it had been lodged but the stone itself seemed to have vanished. It wasn’t until they investigated further they found footprints leading away from the spot. They were the same they had found earlier leading away from the doorway left in the middle of the snow.

Far enough away not to be seen Randal Boggs, the chameleon-like monster, revealed himself carrying the Time Stone in hand. He chuckled at his little victory before making his way back to Thanos.

With the Black Pearl grasped in her tentacles the small team of Avengers began their fight against the power-boosted Ursula, the sea witch. Captain America had flung his shield right into her eye, blinding her enough for the likes of Iron Man and Falcon to whizz about firing at her to try and get closer to the Power Stone embedded on her crown. Even Ant-Man, using his shrinking technology, tried to fly up to the stone, thanks to the aid of a flying-ant, and pull it out with his bare hands. Ursula had realized this and swatted him and the others away during the fighting. All the while Jack Sparrow had been commanding his crew to try and free his ship from the witch’s clutches.

After being knocked back onto the deck Falcon got back to his feet and said “And to think I used to like big girls.”

“She’s not giving up the Stone without a fight.” Cap added, helping to pull some of the lines with the men to try and free the ship. “We need to hit harder. Heavier!”

Hearing that Ant-Man said “I think I’ve got just the thing. But I need a second to ready the suit’s internal power.”

“One second coming up.” Iron Man called over comms. After that he starred flying right at Ursula’s face while saying “Friday! Time to give the big girl some party favors.”

From the suit fired several flares and small missiles that exploded in Ursula’s face. To add to this Cap had thrown his shield again, managing another smack against one of her eyes. This was enough opportunity for Ant-Man to using his shirking technology only in reverse.

With his suit prepped well enough Ant-Man had begun to grow until becoming the massive Giant-Man. Even at only 40 feet tall he jumped at Ursula, tackling her into the water where the two began to fight again, only now with a matching foe in size enough to challenge Ursula’s gained power. Thanks to his helmet Giant-Man was able to still breath while fighting her off despite as her tentacles began to entangle him and try to pull him away.

As both Ursula and her giant limbs were occupied Giant-Man said over the coms “Guys, I’ve got her distracted. Get the stone! Now!”

“I’m on it, Scott!” Iron Man replied, flying down towards the water and plunging in.

Below, as he saw Ursula and Giant-Man fighting, Iron Man could see his opportunity and went for it. He fired a laser which, thanks to his helmet’s targeting system, was able to cut the Power Stone out from Ursula’s crown. Once it detached a surge of energy went through the sea witch as she realized too late what had happened. She began to shriek under the water as the stone floated away from her while she began to shrink in size.

In a final moment Giant-Man, trying to escape from her still gripping arms, shrunk back to the size of a normal man. His hand was outstretched as Iron Man managed to propel himself down far enough to grab him and the Power Stone. Within a moment the two popped out of the ocean, flying up in the air and holding for a moment before crashing back down to the deck of the now freed Black Pearl.

As the crew cheered at their success Jack, joining the others, commented “And both of you did that without a drop of rum in you. Impressive. Very impressive.”

“Save the drinks for the celebration.” Iron Man commented as he helped Ant-Man to his feet before holding up the Power Stone. “One down. Now what?”

He and some of the others looked to Cap who replied “Now let’s try to find the others. Hopefully T’Challa’s team is having as much luck as we are.”

On the forest moon of Endor the Ewoks brought the group of Avengers further into their village. Thanks to the Vision, whom the Ewoks saw as some sort of “shiny god”, he was able to translate most of their language. He told the team how the furry creatures believed their coming as a sign of hope after what was befalling their people. When questioning what they meant the group was brought to a sort of infirmary hut high in the treetops of the village.

Inside the infirmary the Avengers could see a sight that made all of them uncomfortable. Dozens of Ewoks laid in beds surrounded by families and friends. They seemed to be in some sort of “woken sleep”, as described by the Ewoks themselves, their eyes open and vacant while their bodies just laid motionless except for their breathing. Even as their loved ones tried nothing seemed to wake them.

“What did this to them?” Wasp asked, the tone of heartbreak in her voice at the sight.

After the Vision had asked the Ewok chief lead the team down to the surface below the village. From there he and a large group of villagers brought the team to the source of their worries, embedded inside a large tree inside its bark.

“The Soul Stone!” Black Panther pointed. “That explains a lot.”

Hawkeye then added “Poor little guys. They must’ve gotten curious or tried to pull it out. Didn’t even know what was happening.”

Nodding Black Panther said “We must remove it.”

“How?” Wasp asked. “If we touch it we could wind up like the others.”

“I will not.” Vision replied. The others looked to him as he explained “Technically I do not have what would qualify as a ‘soul’. The stone should not affect me. Besides, should I be wrong at least you should be able to repair me should I be in a suitable enough condition.”

Hearing that Hawkeye replied “You know I feel a little sad knowing that’s your immediate thought on the matter.”

“Are you sure, Viz?” Wasp asked, buzzing near his face.

“As I shall ever be, Janet.” He replied.

With a final nod from Panther as enough confirmation Vision walked over to the tree holding the Soul Stone. Everyone, especially the Ewoks, watched as he came closer and closer before standing right in front of it. Everyone held their breath and watched as he reached out, grasping the stone before using his strength to pull it out. It shined for a moment in his grasp, some fearing it would destroy him or worse, before settling after he was finally able to free it from the tree.

As Vision held it up the Ewoks cheered while the Avengers sighed with relief. When he returned to the group they all gave their own little congratulations, Wasp even kissing his cheek, while the Ewoks ran up to embrace him or bow to him as the apparent god they thought he was.

Vision then said “Now we can use it to help free the trapped souls inside. After that we’ll return it to Captain Rogers and the others.”

Hearing that Hawkeye commented “For a guy who says he has no soul, you sure do care a lot.” Making the advanced android crack a small smile.

The victory was short however when the sounds of firefighting in the sky caught their attention. They all looked up to see as two ships, the Slave 1 and the Millennium Falcon, were engaged in a dogfight than brought them into Endor’s atmosphere just above the Ewok’s village. As they watched they saw another ship suddenly join in.

Pointing it out Hawkeye said “Hey! Isn’t that that ‘Star-Man’ guy’s ship?”

Onboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier Nick Fury stood outside the cell of the imprisoned Admiral Thrawn. The alien officer had just finished eating a meal provided by Fury himself, his plate clean as he wiped his lips and sipped some water provided.

“You humans do have quite the cuisine.” Thrawn commented.

“Call it my one act of kindness.” Fury replied. “Start cooperating with us and maybe I’ll share the family recipe.”

Thrawn chuckled “While I appreciate the meal it will take more than that to make me talk. This isn’t my first interrogation, Colonel.”

“It’s better than the alternative. And given what my second-in-command, Agent Hill, had in mind trust me when I say this is the better choice for you.”

Thrawn stood from his seat and began with “What do you hope to gain from me exactly?”

“For starters who your commander is. And where he’s taken our agent.”

“I wouldn’t worry about them. I think what you should concern yourself with is how foolish you’ve been this whole time. Letting me live. Keeping me alive for information you clearly were never going to gain in the first place. You think your act of interrogation impresses me, human? I’ve tortured men for far less reason. And what’s worse for you is that I’ve only gained more knowledge about you and your people the longer I’ve been kept in this cell.”

“Such as?”

“Your men. Their weapons and armor. This very ship. It’s all basic technology. In my universe this sort of thing is ancient. It is nothing compared to the power our ships have. Even a single fighter could tear through this ship with enough time. And that is a bare minimum to what Lord Vader can do.”

“The man in the breathing mask and the scary cape.” Fury replied. “Agent Barton told me about him and his ‘powers’. I’ve seen a lot of strange things in my time, pal. A guy with a scary costume and some telekinesis is small compared to what I’ve seen people in my world can do.”

Walking up to the cell’s door, looking Fury right in his eyes, Thrawn smirked “You’ve no idea what real power is.”

Fury, in-turn, walked up to him and responded “I’ve heard that before too.”

As the intense situation seemed to grow more-so in silence the alarm throughout the Helicarrier began to sound. It gained Fury’s attention enough for him to leave back for the command deck, his last glance to Thrawn spotting the cocky smirk still on his blue-skinned face.

As Fury arrived Maria Hill said “Multiple hostiles in-coming, sir! Small in size but large in numbers!”

“Are defenses up?” Fury asked.

“What we still have left after the fight earlier.” She responded before adding “But sir, you’ll want to see what it is.”

Checking the readings on the screen Fury began to realize who or what it was attacking the Helicarrier. He looked to the window for further confirmation as he watched nearly a hundred human-like figures flew towards them. The closer they came the more clear their metal forms were before their leader also made himself present.

“Ultron!” Fury stated. When Hill questioned what they could want Fury, already putting it together, said “They’re here for Thrawn!”
