Answer or questions?King Mickey sat in the throne room with Minnie, Daisy, Master Yen Sid, the Blue Fairy, Ray and even Merida.
While Mickey and Minnie sat in their thrones, the others all standing around, Mickey himself seemed a little cross over something. He was leaning to the side, looking away from everyone, while trailing his fingers over the armrest. Minnie noticed this but wasn’t sure to say anything just yet.
As they waited Merida spoke up, asking “So who is this Pete you mentioned anyways?”
“He was once a friend.” Minnie said while Mickey seemed a little tough to want to answer. “We made him a commanding officer in our kingdom’s shipping trade. But he wanted more and, in the end, betrayed us and became a criminal.”
“A said day that was.” Yen Sid commented. “But then Pete could never have anything less than everything.”
“He even managed to drag his family into it.” Minnie began again. “And now they’ve freed him.”
“And now we’re another step behind.” Mickey finally said, looking back to everyone. “Pete could’ve told us anything and now he’s gone. There’s no telling where he or the others are now and we don’t even know where to look.” He sighed and leaned back in his seat and finished with “This is just like last time, all over again.”
“You mean with that war you talked about with the others?” Merida asked.
“Precisely, young Merida.” Yen Sid spoke up. In fact it was Pete’s doing that caused the war in the first place. So, in a sense, this is a matter of history repeating itself.”
A moment later the doors to the throne room opened. Everyone looked to see Donald, Goofy, Max and Scrooge walking in and coming towards them.
As they approached Scrooge said “All the heroes have been returned to their worlds. All are going to take whatever precautions needed to stay safe should Pete or any of the others attack.”
Mickey nodded and said “Hopefully this won’t be a repeat at least.”
“But, uh, there is one thing you should know, Mickey.” Goofy said before he and Max stood to the side.
It turned out they were standing in front of two little people who’d been behind them the whole time. No one had noticed given everyone’s height but it was revealed to be Stitch and Lilo.
“What are you two still doing here?” Mickey asked as everyone looked to them.
“Stitch want to help like last time.” He said. “Not want to see friends get hurt again.”
“And if Stitch is staying then I’m staying.” Lilo spoke up boldly at first before shrinking back and saying “Uh….if that’s okay right?”
There was a little chuckling among the heroes before Mickey said “I appreciate the help guys, but really there’s nothing you can do but go home and wait.”
“But you’re letting her stay.” Lilo pointed to Merida.
“Aye, but that’s because I can hold my own.” She retorted before explain to everyone “I want to find out what’s going on as much as the rest of you. Especially after that Horseman stole the wisps away and attacked me.” She looked back to Lilo and said “And no offense, wee one, but you don’t look the sort who can hold a sword or fire an arrow if need be.”
Lilo grumbled and folded her arms before Minnie said “Now settle down, you two. We’ve enough problems of finding the Horseman and Pete as it is.”
“Yeah.” Donald said. “We got to find them and quick before something bad like before happens.”
“You think maybe whoever’s behind this wants to bring the villains back again?” Goofy asked.
“That’s a possibility” The Blue Fairy finally spoke up. “But that doesn’t explain why the wisps were taken. I sense a darker plot at work.”
“Then we can’t waste any more time.” Mickey hopped up and said “If we want to find Pete and the Horseman then we’ll need to see someone who might really know where they are.”
Yen Sid, sensing what Mickey meant, asked “Your majesty? You’re not suggesting….?”
“Yep.” Mickey confirmed. “We’re going to go to Bald Mountain.”
For those who knew, there was a collective gasp and everyone saying “Bald Mountain?!?”
“You want to go talk to Chernabog?” Max asked. “But why?”
“If there’s something evil going on in the worlds, then you know he’ll be aware of it too.” Mickey said.
“But-But what if HE’S the one behind it?” Donald asked.
“If he is then we’ll have our answers one way or another. If he’s not, then maybe he could point us to whoever it is.”
Goofy trembled and asked “But what if he *gulp* turns us into toads? Or sets us on fire? Or anything bad like that?”
“Because,” Yen Sid said “as great and terrible as he is, even Chernabog has to respect the balance of the worlds. I fear whatever is going on may affect them the most. Especially now that they have my book of spells. There are far too many dangerous hexes and curse and the like that could be used to horrible effects. If whoever is behind this is planning on using them they must be stopped at all cost. And even the Lord of Bald Mountain cannot ignore this.” He looked to Mickey and said “Go then. See what you can learn from him. But be careful.”
Hearing this, and seeing Yen Sid walk off to regroup with the Blue Fairy and Ray, Mickey asked “Wait, you’re not coming?”
The Blue Fairy answered “We will be seeking our own answers.”
“How you going to do that?” Goofy asked
“We will search the worlds.” Yen Sid explained. “Try to find the Horseman, Pete, his family, or anything else that will give us a clue as to what is going on. This way we can double our efforts.”
Mickey nodded and said “Alright. But you be careful yourselves.”
Yen Sid nodded and smiled, seeing how his friend still cared for him, before the Blue Fairy said “Good luck to all of you.” Before waving her wand over herself and the others.
Just as the three began to disappear into to twinkling starlight, Ray gave a final “Ya’ll take care now.” Before they flew up into the sky, phasing through the window as if they were ghosts, and eventually disappearing.
Seeing this, Lilo gave a small “Wow.” like last time.
Mickey looked to everyone and said “Alright. We need to get moving. Donald? Goofy? You both ready?”
When both said they were Max suddenly said “Hang on. I’m coming too.” When asked why he said “Because I want to know just as bad as you do why Pete’s family is involved. PJ and the rest of them are good people, no matter how bad they might get. So I want to be there when we catch them. Maybe I can try and talk some sense into them.”
“But Maxie,” Goofy began to protest “you haven’t even been to other worlds yet. You don’t know how dangerous it can get out there.”
Max, looking to his father, said “I’m old enough to watch out for myself, dad. Besides, I need to put all the expert training you gave me to good use, right?”
Goofy gave a little hyuck before Mickey said “Well it would help have an extra pair of hands. And I think it’ll help the future captain of the guard, don’t you think?”
Max was a bit surprised by that comment before Mickey gave a friendly wink to him. Even Donald and the others all gave little gestures of agreement before Max stood proudly to show he was ready.
“Hang on. What about us?” Merida asked, indicating herself, Lilo and Stitch. “I don’t think we’re for sitting on our bums neither.”
“Sorry to say, but you’re all staying here.” Mickey said. When they began to protest he said “It not that we don’t think you can’t help. Far from it. But we can’t afford you getting hurt or worse. You’re not from this world and things could be thrown out of whack if something happens to you in another.”
“Oh, wand what about when you marched an army of heroes into battle before?” Merida asked with an annoyed tone. “You didn’t worry about them, did you?”
“Of course we did.” Minnie said. “It’s just that things were so dire we knew it was all or nothing. But we can’t make things that dire again.”
Merida tried to protest more, saying “But the wisps!”
“Once we find them we’ll make sure to let you know.” Mickey said. “Until then, you and the others stay put.”
Merida gave a hard sigh of defeat before Minnie walked over and said “I know it’s hard, Princess. But it’s for the best. I’m sure we’ll find something for you to do.”
Scrooge cleared his throat and said “If I may, your majesty, I think I might something to keep the young ones occupied.”
“Uncle Scrooge?” Donald asked. “You do?”
“Aye, that I do.” He said with a confident smirk. “If these ladies want to be a part of this grandiose party we have, then maybe what they need is a little history lesson.”
Both Merida and Lilo looked at each other before the latter asked “Uh…..I guess?”
“You sure you want to do that, Scrooge?” Daisy asked. “Weren’t you the one who didn’t like the idea of other people knowing about the worlds?”
“I never said I didn’t like the idea of teaching them.” Scrooge said with a ‘matter-of-fact’ tone.
Mickey nodded and said “Okay then. Everyone’s settled. We’ll try to get back here within a few hours. Or however long it’ll take while we in the other world.” He then walked over to Minnie and said “You should keep an eye on the Viewing Basin. Just in case.”
“Okay.” She said before both shared a quick kiss. “Good luck.”
Mickey nodded before saying “I’m hoping for it.”
After that he, Donald, Goofy and Max all walked out and made their way towards the Doorway Chamber. The others watched as they left, Daisy blowing a quick kiss to Donald in the process. Merida had a disappointed look, feeling as she wanted to go with them, but merely waited until they were out the door and already on their way.
Scrooge looked to the girls and Stitched before asking “So, ladies, are you ready to begin?”
“Uh, could we get something to eat first?” Lilo asked. “I kind of skipped lunch.”
Stitch perked up and said “Stitch get something from kitchen.” Before scurrying off.
Realizing this, Minnie and Daisy said “Oh no…”
“What’s the matter?” Merida asked.
“Give it a second.” Daisy commented before, not a moment later, they could hear Clarabelle screaming from the kitchen.
Minnie giggled a little and said “Hopefully she didn’t drop anything this time.”

Pete, while he and his family were still in the secret base, said “Master of Worlds, huh? I ain’t never heard of you before.”
“Of course not, fool.” The Master said, still sitting in his throne. “I am not born of any worlds. I have always existed and only now do I see that these worlds need order. I intend to bring it.”
“Oh yeah?” Pete asked, looking skeptical to the Master’s words. “And how’s that?”
“With your help, or course.” He pointed at Pete. “You, your family, and the Horseman have already granted me this book.” He held it up. “And the wisps from Princess Merida’s world. But there is still more we need. And you will help me to find them. All of you.”
Pete huffed and said “And what if I don’t feel like it?” Peg began to say something to him before he cut her off and said “C’mon, Peg. You really think we need to get roped up in this sort of thing again? Last time the Horned King wound up blown to bits and now this guy thinks he can do better?”
The Master stood, everyone expect for Pete looking afraid, before he said “You doubt my abilities?”
Pete stood confident and said “If the Horned King couldn’t do it, then…?”
Before he could finish the Master blasted a dark bolt of magic at him. Pete went flying up into the air, actually hitting the ceiling, before falling all the way back down with a hard thud. His family rushed to help him up while the Master sat back in his seat.
“I’m not the Horned King.” He said. “And do not think to compare me to him ever again! Understood?”
Pete, frightened as ever, nodded frantically and said “Sure. Sure thing, boos. Whatever you say.”
The Master gestured to the Horseman who walked over to the others and handed them a list. It wasn’t very long but enough stuff was written on it that it took a few minutes for them to read it all off.
“You want us to get all this stuff?” PJ asked the Master.
The Master nodded before Pistol asked “But why?”
“You will soon see for yourself, little one.” He smirked. “All of you will. And when it is over, you will all live like kings.”
Pete looked and asked “But why us, huh? Why not let your headless buddy to all the hard work?” he indicated the Horseman in the process.
“Because I do not have the time to wait for everything one at a time.” The Master said. “I must proceed as soon as possible. And all of you have your grudge against King Mickey and the others, I offer you the chance to take what is yours. Think of it as a chance to restart.”
Pete thought on it before Peg said “C’mon, Pete.” She leaned in and whispered “We don’t want the alternative, do you?” pointing at where his head hit the ceiling before.
Pete, rethinking it all, said “Okay, Mr. Of Worlds. You got a deal. So when do we…?”
Before Pete could ask when they were to leave, the Master stood and waved his hand. Three portals appeared behind the family, all of them looking back and seeing how powerful he was to create three portals on a whim.
“Now.” He answered before looking to the Horseman. “You as well. You know who to retrieve. But bring her back alive, understood?”
The Horseman bowed before going off to retrieve his horse. Afterwards he rode forward through the farthest portal to the left. The Master then looked to the Pete’s who, after seeing he was waiting for them to leave all left through the last two portals. With his plans in motion the master chuckled to himself before looking through the book of spells.
********************
Mickey and his group, after walking through the Doorway, found themselves in the world of Chernabog.
The only other time they, or anyone else, had ever come to this place was during the war. The Horned King had made this world his base where he gathered the other villains together before launching an all-out attack on other heroes from the Out Worlds. During the final fight the Horned King, angered that Chernabog would not help him in his conquest, had used his powers to possess the lord of Bald Mountain’s body. With himself in control the villain had proclaimed himself The Horned God of Darkness before being destroyed, thanks to the magic sword used by Taran from his world. Since then no one has set foot in this world until today.
As they looked around Max commented “The first world I visited and already I feel like going home…” with a scared tone.
Donald pointed out “Look!” making everyone look to see Bald Mountain in the distance.
“Still as spooky as last time.” Goofy said with a nervous tone.
Mickey looked at it and said “C’mon, fellas. The sooner we get this over with the better.”
It took them a little while but the group eventually came closer and closer towards the base of the mountain, even reaching the old fortress nearby; the fortress that the Horned King had used while he and the other villains had been hiding there during the war.
As they reached it they all looked up and, to their horror, they could see the massive form of Chernabog far above at the very peak of the mountain. His back was turned to them as he was, from what they could see, doing some sort of demonic party with his monstrous minions far above. Some were flying around him while others danced near the opening where their master’s body poked through. Flames were bursting from the mountain around Chernabog while he and his minions enjoyed their little celebration.
Just as Mickey and his group arrived Chernabog held his arms out to his sides, everything going silent in that instant, before saying “We have company.”
The minions were the first to look, all of them seeing the group at the very base of the mountain. All of them looked a bit worried but did nothing, just staying still and waiting to see what would happen. It was then that Chernabog finally turned to look at them himself, his large yellow eyes peering towards them. When he’d fully turned they could all see that his one horn, the one that had been cut off during the war, was nothing but a nub now.
“Well, well, well.” Chernabog began. “If it isn’t the king of the Castle Disney himself. Mickey Mouse.” He chuckled in his throat before saying “Well don’t just stand there, fools! Show some respect.” Mickey instantly kneeled before the others followed. “That’s better.” He said with a smile.
Mickey didn’t look up but began to say “Oh mighty Chernabog. We humbly…”
“Save the flattery, Mouse King.” He cut him off. “I know why you’ve come.” The heroes looked up to the massive Alpha Being as he said “But, sorry to say, I cannot help you.”
“What?” they all collectively asked.
Max then said “Why not?” before Chernabog looked at him with an aggressive tone.
“Watch your tone, boy! Otherwise I’ll turn that face into something you can never face in the mirror.” He then calmed a little before saying “It is not as thought I would not help you, for you know as well as I do the balance of the worlds must be kept. But what you seek, I cannot help with.”
“How?” Mickey asked before adding “Surely someone as powerful as you could find the Horseman or anyone else in the worlds, right?”
“As true as this is,” Chernabog began “I cannot, for some reason, see where the Horseman or any of the others you see are. It’s very strange. These ancient eyes can see so much.” He looked off into the distance and said “I can see all the heroes in their world. I can see the lions and the fairies and the boys playing in their Neverland. I can see the fish woman and her prince returning to their child. I could see while you and your friends were making your little plans to see me before you even stepped through your Doorway. I could even hear when you began to think I was responsible for whatever scheme is going on.” He chuckled at this while the heroes looked more nervous. “I can see the archer princess and the child in your castle at this very moment. Yet I cannot see a phantom horseman or a family of bumbling thieves!” He slammed his fist down on the mountain top, crushing some of his demonic minions in the process, before looking to Mickey and the others again. “Tell me, mouse king, who could be capable of this?”
Mickey didn’t say anything, even looking to the others who were just as dumfounded as he was, making him say “We have no idea, my lord. That was why we came to you. Not even Yen Sid or the Blue Fairy could figure out who was behind it.”
Chernabog gave a loud “Ha!” before relaxing a bit. His minions laughed as well before saying “Those two do not have enough power within my little finger.” He wiggled it for a moment when he said this.
Mickey then said “You must know someone who could be behind it.”
Chernabog gave a low hum before saying “There is only one who could hold such power. But I can assure you she is nowhere near anything dangerous as this. It wouldn’t be ‘proper’ of her.”
“Her?” Max asked.
Before anything else could be said, Chernabog looked out to the distance again. He seemed distracted by something yet, when looking themselves, the heroes couldn’t see anything. For a moment he was silent but finally the dark lord looked back down towards the heroes.
“I believe I have found your Horseman.” He said, making the heroes perk up. “And the others as well, but the Horseman is your real concern as of now.”
“Why?” Donald asked. “Where is he? What’s he doing?”
“He is in the land of Arendelle.” When he said this Mickey and the others began to look worried. “And, from what I can see, it would appear he is after something. Something very powerful. Does that sound familiar at all?”
When Mickey realized what it meant he said “We need to go, now! We have to stop him!”
The others nodded before Donald said “We need to get to a door first.”
Chernabog suddenly said “I can provide something better.” With that he pointed his finger down to the area right in front of them, at which point a portal appeared before them. When Mickey thanked him the lord of Bald Mountain merely said “Save your pleasantries and go, mouse king. Find whoever is behind this and stop them. And when you do, please let me know. If anyone is going to bring terror to the worlds……it will be me.”
He gave a devilish smirk when he said this before the heroes, not wanting to waste any more time, ran for the portal and made their way into Arendelle.
********************
It was winter in the land of Arendelle, and not an unnatural one caused by the snow controlling queen Elsa.
She, along with her sister Anna, the kingdom’s official Ice Master and Deliverer Kristoff, his reindeer Sven, and their little animated snowman Olaf, had been riding through the kingdom the entire day. All the humans, Elsa being the exception, were dressed warmly for the snowy weather while riding in Kristoff’s sled.
They were currently stopped in front of Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna. Everyone but Kristoff waited in the sled while he was delivering ice to the owner and his family. They’d been waiting for a bit while Anna was cuddling Sven and reassuring him that Kristoff would be back with carrots for him.
Eventually Kristoff exited the trading post, a bunch of carrots in hand, before saying to the owner “Pleasure doing business.”
The owner nodded and said “Great as always. And don’t forget, bit winterpalooza sale. YooHoo, royal family.”
Anna gave a little “YooHoo.” Before the owner went back inside.
Kritoff came over to the excited reindeer Sven and said “Don’t worry, buddy. I got what you wanted.”
He held out one carrot that Sven took a bite of. Even with the reindeer saliva still over where he’d bitten Kristoff took a bit of the carrot himself, making Anna giving a little sick sound before looking away. Olaf on the other hand had walked over and looked at the remaining carrots.
“Hmm.” He began before asking “You guys think I should try a different nose? I mean don’t get me wrong, I love the one I have, but if some people change their hair color how can a snowman not want to change his nose now and then?”
Elsa however gave a little sigh and asked “You think we could just speed this up and get back home? I really need to get back.”
Anna, walking over to her sister, said “Oh come on, Elsa. You need to get out more. That’s why I brought you along to begin with. You know, explore you kingdom and all. Meet with the people…..help deliver the ice?”
“Anna, I know you’re trying to look out for me but I do get busy.” She retorted. “I have to keep the trading partners inline, and right now there’s a little tension with the Southern Isles.”
Kristoff huffed and said “Bet you Hans whined long enough for his brothers to actually care.”
Olaf laughed at this before commenting “I don’t get it.”
Anna, positioning herself next to her sister, said “You work too much, sis. I think a little time out is good for you. Don’t you think?”
Elsa shrugged a little before saying “I guess.”
Anna looked to the others who all shrugged, not knowing what to do, before she said to her sister “Tell you what, how about when we get back we do a little skating. After that you can go back to work for the rest of the month. Or maybe just the week. Two weeks! That’s my final offer.”
Elsa, laughing at her sister for a moment, said “Alright, alright. But only for a little bit. Agreed?”
Anna agreed and both hugged for a moment, Olaf liking it so much that he wound up hugging Kristoff’s leg in the process. The ice handler chuckled while rolling his eyes before calling for everyone to board the sled. Once they were he clicked the reins and Sven was off.
As they all rode through the area Olaf gave a relaxed sigh before saying “It’s such a nice day out, isn’t it? The sun is out and making the snow all bright and clean looking. The birds are singing. There’s a headless man on a horse. The squirrels are out gathering nuts…” He stopped just as the others looked oddly when he spoke about what he was seeing. “You know something about what I said didn’t sound right.”
Everyone looked back and saw, to their shock, the headless man Olaf mentioned. His black devil horse with its burning eyes, huffed and snorted as it came charging after them.
Kristoff immediately clicked for Sven to go faster before the Horseman caught up to them.
“Uh….anyone know what that is exactly?” Anna asked as the Horseman came closer.
“Don’t know, but I don’t think I want to.” Elsa said before seeing him draw his blade.
He got close enough that he took a swing, everyone ducking before getting hit. Elsa then tried to fire a blast of cold at him, making the Horseman move out of the way before being hit. This also forced him to fall back before giving chase again.
“You think he wants us for our heads?” Kristoff asked as they kept running.
“I don’t know. I’ll ask.” Olaf said before leaning over the back of the sled. “Excuse me, sir. If you’re after our heads, I’m sorry but we need to use them. I’m sure we could find you a spare on though.”
The Horseman came close enough again that he tried to reach for Elsa, only for Anna to grab one of the bundle’s in the sled before tossing it at him. It hit and then Horseman was almost knocked off his horse, thankfully recovering in time to still give chase.
“I don’t think he’s the bargaining type, guys.” Olaf said.
Elsa watched as the horseman still followed before saying “I think he’s after me.”
Anna asked “Why?” but before they could figure an answer Kristoff called to them.
“You guys might want to hang on.” He said as he saw a long steep hill coming up in their path. “This is going to get really rough!”
********************
Mickey and his grouped exited the portal Chernabog had provided for them, finding themselves in Arendelle.
Looking around Max said to himself “Now this is more like it.”
Meanwhile Goofy and Donald noticed they were just as the edge of a very steep hill, both backing up and Goofy saying “Careful. Don’t want to fall down that.”
Mickey turned to them and said “Let’s stay focused, guys. First thing we need to do is find Elsa. And from there maybe the…”
“Horseman!” Donald shouted.
“Well yeah, Donald. But you don’t have to…”
Just as Donald tried to spell out why he shouted it, Goofy and Max pushed the two out of the way before being run over by a sled carrying Elsa, Anna and the rest. They all landed in the snow and looked back to see them go down the hill, only to be followed by the Horseman who jumped into the air before his horse landed on the hill. Given where he landed he was closer to the sled and to what he was after.
The heroes recovered and looked before Donald said “What are we going to do? We got to get after them.”
“How?” Goofy asked. “They’re going way too fast.”
Mickey thought for a second before asking “Donald? Any spells that could help?”
As the three tried to figure out what to do Max began to form an idea. He had a shield with him on his back, similar to the one his father always had, and started to figure what do to with it. Not wasting anytime he took of the shield and held it in front of him. He took a few steps back before running towards the hill.
“Heads up!” he called to the others before, as he jumped, placed the shield at his feet and began sliding down the hill like it was a snowboard.
The three watched as Max began to ride down, Mickey and Donald looking a bit reluctant while Goofy started to prep his own shield.
“Uh….maybe we should try just going another way.” Mickey suggested.
Donald nodded and said “Yeah. We can catch up to them when we….”
Goofy picked both of them up in his arms and called “Geronimo!” before leaping off the side with the shield as his feet.
All three gave shouts as they wound up sticking the landing before following Max towards the Horseman and the running slay.
********************
In Prydain a portal had been opened near the swamps of Morva.
Pete and Pistol exited through the portal and looked around, neither one being spotted or seeing what they were after. In a few moments Pistol had pointed out to her father what they were looking for. In the distance Pete could see the Black Cauldron resting all alone.
With a grin Pete simply said “There you are.” Before he and his daughter walked over to retrieve it for their Master.

Can't they just use the Magic Mirror instead of going to Bald Mountain? I think that'll be safer. Then again they'll waste time having to decipher any riddles that MM presents.
WOOHOO! Elsa and Arendelle already! I love it! I must say you do a better Olaf than me.
Btw any chance that the Master is you?

Compared to the Magic Mirror, Chernabog is vastly more powerful. Obviously he's the better choice in that regard. And no, I'm not the Master. I'm not that egotistical and that sort of twist is too surreal even for me lol

That is true that if there was a choice, surely they'd rather ask Chernabog, but nothing's stopping them from asking the Mirror too. Also, the Mirror apparently only answers with riddles when asked about the future; though he did speak in rhymes, his answers to the Queen in the original movie were still pretty straightforward.

True, but she asked questions about the present. Never anything about the future. With that you could say the mirror is vague because the future is vague too.

Precisely: what I was saying is that, if they had asked him about the future he'd have answered cryptically, but they wanted to ask something about the present ("Where IS the Master of Worlds ?"), weren't they ?

True, but given the mystery of who the master is I guess you can say makes it hard to answer clearly.
