Description
The Master PlanThe two teams had already separated once they’d made it clear what each needed to do. Mickey and Master Yen Sid lead the front team of Goofy, Donald, Elsa, Kristoff, Stitch, Eugene, Maximus and Sven. That left the nanny herself to take Merida, Anna, Olaf, Pascal, the Spring Sprite and Scrooge McDuck to find a way in through the back and find Max and the others; Scrooge agreeing to go in order to help dispel whatever enchantments the Master may have had ready for them.
As the front team walked up towards the front door of the Haunted Mansion many of them looked afraid of what they were likely to run into. With a name like the Haunted Mansion and the tale told to them by Yen Sid, many were afraid of actually running into any specters or ghouls they would encounter.
There was one point where Maximus and Sven had seen a black raven with glowing red eyes look down at them from a tree, cawing as they passed by and scaring them enough to where they hurried to their friends as fast as possible.
As they continued walking Eugene asked “So….this mansion? You said it’s haunted, right?” Yen Sid confirmed this. “So it’s full of ghosts. Like you?”
Yen Sid did not look back as he answered “I would not necessarily count myself among them, nor would I discount being called as such.”
“So….what DOES that make you exactly?” Elsa asked.
Yen Sid merely answered “Complicated.” Before continuing wt. “We should not have much to fear from these spirits. Most are content with their existence. Others, however, may not be as kind.”
Hearing this Mickey added “So let’s not try and get any of them upset.”
Donald waved this off and said “Nothing wo worry about.” He didn’t realize he got a little too ahead of the group and held his chin up high. “I’m not scared of any…”
He stopped when he realized the others had done so already and were a few feet behind him. He could see they were looking at something in front of him, some with shocked eyes. The duck wizard gulped before slowly turning to see what they were looking at.
He could see it was the ghost of a woman dressed as a bride, her dress as pale as her ethereal form. Unlike Yen Sid her form was more ghostly and more transparent. There was barley any color to her as well. The most color that stood out was her long black hair that hung down her back and under her veil on her head.
Donald yelped at the sight before flying back into Goofy’s arms. He was shivering so much that Goofy was almost shaking as well, though it could’ve been his own fear.
Just then three ghosts appeared to the group’s right, scaring some of them. The first was a tall skeletal figure, with a top hat and a trench coat that covered his specter body. The second was a stout man with a tall hat, wearing a suit and carrying a bag in his hand. The third, who was the shortest, had a very hair head and thick beard to where his face couldn’t fully be seen. In his hand he carried a ball that everyone realized was attached with a chain to a cuff on his ankle.
A final ghost appeared to their right, making them leap in fear again. This one was an old looking man dressed as a caretaker. In one hand he held a lantern up, despite it being ghostly it actually glowed bright. In the other was a leash to a ghost bloodhound that sat next to its mater.
The heroes all looked worried, some ready to defend themselves, before the ghostly bride simply said “Hello. Who are you?”
The heroes looked a little cautious at her before Yen Sid took the lead and answered “A few simple men-at-arms looking for a group of renegade individuals, my good woman.”
“One of them wouldn’t happen to be a rather horrific looking man in a cloak, would he?” she asked.
“Yes!” Mickey said. “The Master of Worlds. He’s here?”
“Unfortunately so.” The caretaker ghost moaned. “It was horrible. He seemed to come from nowhere with that dreaded Horseman of his and took over this entire mansion. If being dead was not bad enough, now I am out of a job.”
Just then one of the hitchhiking ghosts, the short hairy one, asked “Say, if decide to make a run for it can you take us with you? We don’t want to be here anymore with that headless pain in the neck running around.”
Kristoff huffed a little at this before asking “You guys are really that afraid of him? I mean you’re ghosts. What can he do?”
“You’ve no idea how bad he is.” The caretaker moaned again. “He’s cursed and yet he proves stronger than any of us.”
“But it is not only him.” The bride added. “He does the bidding of that horrid master of his. He forced all of us out of the mansion and then took most of the others under his control. Forced to do what he wants.”
Upon hearing this Yen Sid commented “So that’s why he came here. The Master knew the Horseman’s power would keep the ghosts in check.”
“Pretty good security.” Eugene commented.
“You shouldn’t stay. Any of you!” the stout ghost among the hitchhikers said. “Leave now before…”
Suddenly everyone could hear the sound of something coming from the front door for the mansion. There was a loud but low creaking as the doors began to open up, it being so dark they could barely see inside.
The bride ghost gasped and said “Too late…” before she and all the others suddenly disappeared into whiffs.
The heroes saw this before looking back to the doorway, seeing as Pete and his family were the ones to exit. The only ones absent were PJ and Pistol, the heroes not taking full note of it as the two in front of them seemed anxious enough for a fight.
“So you finally made it!” Pete called to them. “’Bout time too.”
Mickey was about to say something before Goofy suddenly demanded “Where’s my son?”
“And Rapunzel?” Eugene added.
Elsa finished with “And everyone else you kidnapped!”
Mickey, a bit surprised he’d been beaten to this, just gave a little “Yeah! What they said.”
“Oh don’t worry.” Peg said. “They’re fine. For now.”
“Right now you’ve got to be worrying about yourselves, runts.” Pete added with a laugh.
“Oh come on.” Kristoff said. “Two you against all of us? No chance.”
While the two villains grinned at this Eugene sighed before leaning over and saying “You really shouldn’t say stuff like that.”
“Why?” he asked.
As if on cue both Peg and Pete stepped aside as the Headless Horseman suddenly walked out of the mansion’s doorway. He was on foot but had the reins to his horse in hand as he walked it out behind him.
Seeing this Kristoff gave a little “Oh…yeah…”
Pete merely laughed before calling “Time to get this party started!”
The Horseman soon cackled as he raised his arms up into the air. All around the group they could see as balls of spiritual energy suddenly appeared and surrounded them. It was clear these were all ghosts from the mansion, those that had been enslaved by the Horseman himself. Instead of attacking them, all flew into the earth until a moment later the ground beneath all of the heroes shaking. Suddenly boney hands began to pop from underneath the graves, everyone watching in horror as the dead corpses of those buried began to rise as they were possessed by the spirits. All varied in shape and size, most being nothing but skeletons while others looked zombies; one even being a mummy upon closer look.
The heroes all looked scared for their lives before Kristoff commented “Starting to wish I went with the others…”
********************
Mary Poppins and the others had reached the backdoor to the mansion, seeing it was part of a large patio.
Even being in the backyard of the mansion they could see the graves reaching far out, almost beyond sight. There were obviously so many buried here that none wanted to question how many there probably were. Olaf was actually so scared that he kept close to Anna as they walked. Merida, kept her bow with an arrow ready the whole time as she looked around for any threats.
Once they came to the door inside Scrooge was the one to open it, everyone looking into see it lead into a large dining room. There was a 30 foot long table that was still set as if for waiting greets. Everything was covered in dust and cobwebs to the point where the silver barley shined anymore. Olaf had given a low whistle and all heard as it echoed throughout the place, showing how vacant it was.
“Any idea where we start looking?” Anna asked in a whispered tone.
“Not a clue.” Scrooge answered, also whispering.
Merida then said “Well how ‘bout we start by going in. It’s starting to get a bit nippy out here.”
With that everyone made their way inside the dining hall. As they walked on Spring looked towards the dead flowers on the table. She flew over and used her powers to try and make them lively again, however she found her powers weren’t working. She looked worried about this, being that her powers tended to heal anything, before flying off with the others.
As they walked down the hallways of the mansion the group of heroes had an uneasy feel that they were being watched the whole time. They passed paintings of upstanding looking people that seemed to look angry at them when they passed; Anna being the one to see this and gasp before hurrying along. They walked down another hallway with stone busts heads of lordly looking people but didn’t see as they turned to look at them as they walked on; Pascal looking back now-and-then only to see them facing forward.
Merida noticed how Mary Poppins didn’t seem to flinch or cringe or even tense up at anything. She walked so comely with her umbrella and carpetbag in hand the princess began to question if there was anything that would phase her.
They all stopped when they could hear someone talking in one of the nearby rooms. The heroes looked towards the door where they could see a feint green glow coming from the crack. Mary Poppins of course walked towards it first, the others reluctantly following while still looking over their shoulders at one point or another.
When the door was opened they all looked to see it was a small room with nothing but a table and chair set in the middle. In the center of the table was a glowing crystal ball of green, the source of the light. They could still hear someone talking which made Scrooge call out to find out who it was. The answer came when a head of a red-haired spectral woman turned in the crystal ball and looked at them, many of the heroes looking wide-eyes with shock at the sight.
Looking to them she said “Greetings. I am Madame Leota. Seer of all. Voice to the spirits. Whom do you seek?”
Scrooge was the one to speak, saying “We’re, uh, looking for our friends. If you can help.”
Madame Leota closed her eyes for a moment after he spoke and said “They are close. But even with your presence they are not safe. None of you are.”
“Can you elaborate, if you’d be so kind?” Mary Poppins asked.
Looking to all of them Leota went on to say “Dark forces are at work here tonight. The one who seeks to become calls himself the Master may yet succeed in his plans.”
“I take if you’ve dealt with that blighter before?” Scrooge asked.
“Only once.” She answered. “But in that brief moment I had seen him for what he truly was.”
“You mean you know who he is?” Anna asked with anticipation.
Leota merely answered “A shadow of a caster cannot have an identity of its own. Only the dark reflection of the one who stands in its light.”
“What the heck is that supposed to mean?” Merida asked.
As everyone thought on this, having their own ideas, Mary Poppins said “Never mind that now. We have a mission to complete first.” She looked back to Leota and asked “How do we get to our friends from here?”
She didn’t answer at first but instead closed her eyes again. Just then a door opened on the other side of the room. The heroes didn’t realize it was there until it had opened, some wondering if it even WAS there earlier. Mary Poppins thanked Madame Leota before walking towards it, the others following slowly again.
Madame Leota suddenly said “Be warned!” making them stop and look back. “When you find the answers you seek….you may not like what you discover.”
Figuring this out Merida said “So you DO know who he really is. So why don’t you tell us?”
Leota had a sudden shameful look when she said “He has bound me to never say. And there is nothing I can do to break this bond. I’m afraid your advisory is rather clever. But even if I could tell you….I doubt I would have the heart to say. I’m afraid that is something you will have to discover and bear for yourselves.”
Realizing that there was nothing more to say, Mary Poppins insisted the heroes follow her out. Merida was the last to leave, taking one long final look back to Leota to try and figure what she was hiding. With nothing to go one she left and closed the door behind her.
When it seemed as though Leota was alone someone appeared from under the table behind her and said “You did very well, Madame Leota. I wasn’t sure if you’d keep that tongue of yours from slipping.”
Leota turned as the person took the seat in front of her before saying “If only because I value my existence so highly. Otherwise I would’ve exposed you already.”
The person huffed before saying “And risk letting that pretty head go to pieces? I doubt it.”
Leota shook her head before threatening “I may not be able to stop you, but I know they will.”
The person chuckled a little before saying “If they had any idea about what was going on, then maybe they would. But they won’t not until it’s too late. Until then, why don’t we sit and talk? Make the time fly by easier.”
Leota huffed a little, knowing she had no choice, before saying “They will find you out. Mark my words.”
The person chuckled again before saying “That’s the beauty of it. They have no idea who the REAL Master of Worlds is.”
********************
Despite facing an army of the dead, something Mickey and those from his world had dealt with once before, the heroes all held strong as they fought against the attacking corpses.
As the fighting begun Mickey and Goofy had teamed together, both standing back-to-back as they fought the surrounding enemies. Mickey blocked and slashed with his sword while Goofy blocked and knocked-back with his shield. They showed experience fighting like this, even when one would make what seemed like a mistaken swing but in reality it would be a covering strike for the other.
Kristoff and Eugene fought side by side, defending one another much like Mickey and Goofy. Despite not being very experience with fighting Kristoff proved to handle the pickaxe well enough when dealing with the enemies. Eugene had even looked back and nodded, seeing how good he was. However this little distraction nearly cost him as another undead attacked him.
Eugene struggled with it as their weapons locked before his sword was tossed into the air. While Eugene managed to pull something out of his vest the sword was caught by Maximus the horse, who proved how lethal he could be with a weapon himself as he engaged enemy. Meanwhile Eugene revealed he’d brought a frying pan with him which he used to knock the head off the undead body that attacked him before pushing it back.
Seeing that Kristoff had noticed he smiled and said “Never leave home without it!” before both continued fighting.
Donald was using magic while riding on Sven, of all things, as he charged and pranced over the walking dead attackers. Fighting alongside them was Stitch whole practically plowed through one undead after another.
Meanwhile Yen Sid used his own magic to dispel the spirits he faced from the bodies they were inhabiting. As effective as this was Yen Sid could only manage one at a time, which wasn’t easy given the dozens that were advancing. However opportunity came in the form of Elsa who, after warning everyone to take cover, unleashed a large flurry of icy wind that slowed the undead down. Seeing this all the heroes realized they had the opportunity and began taking them down easily.
Seeing this the Horseman mounted his dark steed before drawing his sword and charging forward with a loud cackle. Using a small hill nearby he leapt into the air, the heroes seeing as he did, before falling towards them. The heroes scattered as the Horseman landed before both he and his accompanying forces attacked the heroes again.
Pete and Peg could see this before the latter asked “Shouldn’t we get in there and help?”
“Not just yet.” Pete said, crossing his arms as he enjoyed the show. “Only if we need to.”
“But what about stopping them, Petey-Poo?” she asked.
“The boss already told me how this plans going to work out.” He explained. “We don’t have to stop ‘um. We just got to stall them.”
********************
In group inside the mansion found themselves walking down a long hallway with armored suits decorating the sides.
As the heroes walked down from it towards what they assumed to be the room where the Master of Worlds was holding his prisoners, it almost seemed longer than it appeared. The feeling of trying to reach the other end as the hallway itself almost seemed to grow was made more uncomfortable as they felt the suits of armor were looking at them. As before they would often look over their shoulders just to see the suits remained still, and Merida had noticed Mary Poppins still walking calmly and slowly enough for the group to keep up with her.
At one point Olaf started tapping his hand against some of the suits, hearing the echo from inside. He tapped on them with a different rhythm, making him giggle a little as he heard them echoed back to him. One suit however he found wasn’t hollow but full. He took a step back to see that this suit of armor looked a little fatter than the others.
He stepped back and commented how odd it was before the suit of armor suddenly moved, its hand moving for down as the sword it held above its head swung and took Olaf’s head off. The others looked back and gasped before something small, hiding behind another suit of armor, pushed the large battleax towards where Mary Poppins stood.
Seeing this and acting fast Scrooge drew his staff and fired a bolt of magic that turned the axe into bubble before it could hit Mary Poppins. He pointed and fired another bolt of magic that hit and stunned the little thing in hiding, which was revealed to be Pistol Pete. Meanwhile Anna had rushed over and kicked the sword out of the other suit’s hand before Merida had her own pointed at its neck. The armor lifted the visor of its helmet to reveal PJ hiding underneath.
Holding his hands up PJ said “Uncle! Truce! I surrender!”
Scrooge walked over and picked up the still stunned Pistol just as she said “Aw nuts.”
Anna quickly picked up Olaf’s head before asking “Are you alright?”
“I don’t know.” He said. “I can’t feel anything!” After that she replaced his head properly before he said “Okay. I’m fine now.”
Scrooge then began interrogating the two children Pete’s by asking “And just what do you little rascals think you’re doing here?”
Pistol answered with “My daddy’s not stupid. And the Master isn’t either. He knew you’d be sending people in through the back. Just like last time!”
“And he really thought the two of you would stop us?” Anna asked.
“We-we weren’t supposed to stop you. Not if we could.” PJ stammered. “Just slow you down.”
Merida, with an angered tone, pointed her sword closer and asked “Why?”
Before PJ could answer Pascal, who’d been sitting on Merida’s shoulders, crawled his way up to the tip of her sword and gave the boy a threatening eye. Despite it coming from a little chameleon PJ was obviously still worried for his life.
He finally stammered the answer “B-Because of his spell. It-It needs time to fully charge.”
“Do you know what it does?” Mary Poppins asked. “This all important spell of the Master’s?”
PJ shook his head before saying “He didn’t tell any of us. He just kept saying how it would change everything, and then we’d all get to live like kings.”
“And I’d get my ponies! And everything else I wanted!” Pistol added with a spoiled tone.
The heroes all looked among one another, worried by what this could mean, before Merida asked “Where’s Max and everyone else?”
In response PJ pointed down to the doorway at the end of the hall, obviously meaning the heroes were on the right trail. But this also meant that the Master of Worlds was likely waiting as well. Merida indicated for PJ to move with them while Scrooge handed Pistol over to Anna, who warned her not to try anything as they walked to the door.
Once they reached it Spring and Scrooge put their ears to the door and listened, only to hear odd sounds coming from the other side. It definitely sounded like magic at work yet it was hard to tell what kind or how powerful it was.
“So do we have a plan?” Olaf asked, looking around the heroes. “’Cause I hope it’s a good one.”
Mary Poppins simply answered “We stop the Master. By any means possible.”
There was a very unsettling tone in her voice when she said this but Olaf still commented with “Good plan.” As if it actually was one.
With not much else to go on the heroes all gave one final nod before opening the door, seeing what was on the other side. All of them, including PJ and Pistol, looked in shock and awe at the sight of the large bubble of magic energy in the middle of what was the ballroom of the mansion. In front of it was Max, still bound to the chair, to which everyone ran to in order to help him out; Merida and Anna still keeping hold of the Pete children.
While this happened Mary Poppins, Scrooge and Spring took a closer look at the magic bubble and what had helped give it form. The Alpha Beings and items are all placed in the large carved out circle with odd markings and ruins on the floor, each one at a certain point where a space was carved out for them. Among them they could see Rapunzel in a cage, Mushu and Ray in their container-like cells, the bag of wisps from Merida’s world, Jafar’s lamp, the imprisoned voodoo spirits, the fairy godmother’s wand, the remains of Maleficent, and even the dreaded Black Cauldron. For the things that were alive they seemed in pain, groaning and moaning as the bubble that surrounded them seemed to be sucking the energy out of them as well.
Rapunzel, seeing the heroes, reached out to them and gave a weak “Help….us….please…”
Scrooge looked in shock and asked Mary Poppins “What sort of diabolical spell is this?”
For once he was surprised to hear Mary Poppins answer “I haven’t the faintest idea.”
Neither of them, or anyone else, noticed Spring making her way closer to it. Her curious nature was gaining the better of her as she came closer to the bubble before reaching her hand out towards it.
Max, however, saw this and wasn’t able to speak until the gag in his mouth was removed, at which point he cried out “Stop! Don’t touch it!”
But it was too late. The moment Spring touched the bubble of magic a surge of its energy went through her. The sprite dropped to the ground before the bubble created a small expanse around her, starting to drain her energy as well. She banged against it from the inside before feeling weak and dropping to the ground.
Scrooge was about to act but Mary Poppins said “Don’t! Or the same could happen to you.”
Merida, both shocked and angered by the sight of Spring being in pain, poked PJ with her sword before asking “What is this thing?”
“I don’t know!” he answered quickly, Pistol given the same answer.
Max, now freed from his bonds, gave his own answer with “It feeds off the energy from Alpha Beings. The Master needed them to power it just like we thought. Only…I don’t think it’s for making himself into an Alpha Being.” Turning back to Mary Poppins asked what he meant before he explained “After first it was how he kept talking about it. He kept saying this would ‘change everything’. And then when he used the spell he was standing right next to it. But nothing happened to him. He didn’t gain any power or anything. He just stood there and smiled before walking off.”
Anna asked where he’d gone but Max didn’t know. Then Merida asked both PJ and Pistol, both of them not knowing and explaining they were told to keep everyone busy. So it was clear no one knew exactly what this spell was.
Merida spoke for everyone when she asked “If it’s not a spell for turning him into an Alpha Being, then what is it?”
“The future!” a voice from above called out.
Everyone looked up and saw who it came from, the Master of Worlds himself. He was standing on a balcony over the door the heroes had come through, overlooking everything in the ballroom including his masterpiece spell that was still surging with energy. Everyone looked tensed and ready to fight, PJ too afraid to move even after Merida drew her sword away from him.
The Master only looked down and smiled at them, his eyes still glowing red, as he said “I was afraid you would not make it in time.”
Scrooge gave an angered “Only sorry we didn’t come sooner, you devilish, no good son of a…”
The Master only laughed before saying “You amuse me, old man. To think words can help you now. I must say this collection of rabble is the last thing I expected to try and stop me.” He then looked at each one and commented “A senile duck. A would-be knight. A stupid princess and another who wastes her time trying to be a warrior. A snowman. A lizard. And….” He took a closer look at Mary Poppins before saying “Ah yes. The Nanny.” He chuckled a little before saying “How desperate you’ve all become.”
Mary Poppins imply commented “What you see as desperation another may see as forethought. Now then, explain this monstrous spell you’ve concocted.”
The Master put his hands behind his back before beginning with “Very well. Since there is nothing you can do to stop it, I suppose you’ve at least earned the final right to know. You are aware of course, Ms. Poppins, that part of the balance to all the worlds is what also grants the power to the Alpha Beings; as well as the items that give some their power.” Before Mary Poppins could indicate this was true the Master continued with “Have you ever wonder if perhaps they are in fact connected to the balance itself? Not just random instances of granted powers, but actual focused points of energy from the worlds distributed into certain individuals? Think of it as an equation of math, where the remaining distributed powers are not simply thrown away but instead distributed further.”
Mary Poppins asked “Is that what this is about then? Trying to tap into the powers of all the worlds? And then what? Distort the balances until there’s nothing left?”
He shook his head while still smiling before saying “Nothing of the sort. I’m not trying to distort the balance. I’m trying to erase it.”
He suddenly levitated from where he stood before slowly moving away from the balcony and down towards them. The heroes backed away, PJ taking Pistol and the two moving away to a safe corner to watch. Mary Poppins however stood her ground as he descended further and further down.
Scrooge, after stopping, exclaimed “You can’t just erase the balances from the worlds! You’ll end up destroying them in the process!”
He merely smirked and said “Not if there is only one.”
“What?” Scrooge shouted and questioned.
“Think about it, my friend: never a need to worry about multiple worlds but only one. One where all will be united together. What you may see as some great and evil plan you fail to realize is a great service I am bringing to everyone.”
“A service?” Mary Poppins said. “Kidnapping and draining the life out of people while tormenting others is a service?”
“I’m simply deleting the unneeded, so to speak.” He said as he walked past them towards the magic bubble. “We will never have to worry about altering the balances of worlds or distorting the destinies of others because we will share the same world. What was once many stories will simply be one that we shall all be a part of.”
“So that’s it then?” Max asked. “You’ve kidnapped people from all over and nearly killed others because what you think you’re doing is good? It’s crazy!”
He snapped at her with “Do not judge what you do not understand, child! None of you do. Except for you.” He pointed at Mary Poppins. “I know you well enough, Ms. Poppins, to know that a part of you has always wanted this. As has King Mickey and his ghostly master. Think of it: never needing to worry about the affairs of others worlds. Never questioning if the people could accept the truth of other worlds existing. There will only be one world and one truth and we shall all be joined with one another as the same people.”
Mary Poppins gave a questioning look to him as she asked “Obviously with such a grandiose plan as this, there must be something you gain over everyone else.”
The Master merely answered “A world like this will need to be under one strong enough to keep everyone in order. Being that I am the one to create this new world, it only seems fair.” He looked back to his spell and commented “Within a minute it will be ready.” He looked to everyone and explained “I will step into the center of the world spell and with it I shall combine all and change it under my influence. One perfect world rules by me.”
“By you?” Mary Poppins scoffed. “You’re not even real. What make you think it can work?”
He sneered before retorting “I am real enough that it will work. Besides, if you don’t let me then you will risk destruction instead of order.” When Scrooge questioned this he explained “The spells I have combined into this newer one requires a host it keep it stable. Otherwise the energy will build until it destroys this world. Possibly more.” He then revealed Master Yen Sid’s book of spells from under his robes before handing it to Mary Poppins and challenging “Prove me wrong.”
Both she and Scrooge began looking through the book, seeing the spells the Master had booked marked and edited with his own notes and equations. While the others would have trouble understanding it, Mary Poppins and Scrooge were well versed enough to understand what this meant. While Scrooge took a step back in shock Mary Poppins closed her eyes out of anger before closing the book.
“What?” Merida asked. “What is it?”
None of them said anything before the Master chuckled and said “You understand now, don’t you? You risk the destruction of worlds over them being controlled under my rule. Tell me, Mary Poppins, which would be the greater sin to bear?”
When Mary Poppins did not answer, showing she was without a choice, Max shook his head and said “No! I refuse to just sit by and let him win.”
Anna stood with him and said “Yeah! We didn’t come this far just to give up.”
With that the two charged for the Master, Max with a sword the sword he took from Merida at the ready while Anna followed his lead. The Master scoffed at this before they could reach him as he waved his hand, a wave of magic sending them back and landing on the ground. Pascal and Olaf tended to them while the Master looked back to his spell as the bubble changed colors from a lighter blue to a darker violet.
“It is ready.” He stated before looking back to them. “Take heart, my friends. In this new world there will be no wars, or violence, or prejudice. There will be only one law: mine.”
The Master walked towards the portal slowly, each step the heroes watching and seeing there was nothing they could do. When he reached the magic bubble containing the spell the Master passed through it with ease instead of being contained and drained as Spring was. Even the ones trapped by the spell itself watched hopelessly as he made his way to the center, the spell seeming to react to his influence taking over.
Anna, standing up and walking next to Mary Poppins, asked “There has to be something we can do!”
Mary Poppins only answered “There is….we watch.”
Anna shook her head before turning and asking “Merida, what do you…..Merida?” she said as she realized the princess was missing.
The Master could feel the energy of the spell surging through him. He held his arms out and breathed in as the magical influences began to take over. He now had the power to bend the worlds to his whim as they were all brought together. He turned to those present as his eyes began to glow the same color as the magic surrounding him.
Looking at Mary Poppins he said “I’m surprised at you, Ms. Poppins. No final threat or quip to give?”
She shook her head before saying “There is nothing I can do at this point. Not without become trapped and only strengthen you spell further. But I won’t need to. Will I, Merida?”
Confused everyone looked as she looked up and behind towards the balcony. They could see the young princess standing on the edge with one of the tapestries hanging nearby in her hand. The Master looked confused the most before Merida ripped the tapestry enough to where she readied to swing on it.
“What do you think you’re doing?” he blurted out in anger.
“Ruin your day!” she said before swinging down towards him with her legs out.
She swung right into the bubble of magic, not affected by it since she was not an Alpha Being, and slammed her feet into the Master of Worlds. The two collided and flew out of the bubble before landing on the other side, Merida on top of the Master. The two struggled before the bubble spell seemed to react to the Master being absent.
“What have you done, you idiot?” he shouted as he struggled with Merida. “You’ve doomed us all!”
“Not as much as you think!” Mary Poppins said as the spell surged and bolted. “I know the nature of worlds better than you do, and I know no amount of magic can destroy them.” He looked back to the spell as the others began to worry and huddle for protection among each other as she said “I do not know what will come of this new world, but I will take heart in knowing it will not belong to you. Or whoever your true master is!”
As the Master managed to throw Merida off of him he said “You may think you’ve figured me out, foolish nanny. But the one who I serve will see you burn for this! They will find you!”
“And we’ll be waiting.” She said defiantly before looking to the princess. “Merida! Remember what I said!”
Merida nodded before standing and seeing as the magic spell that the Master created began to look unstable. It suddenly shrank until it was a small as an atom before, in one great blinding flash of light, it exploded into a great expanded white light. It grew and grew as it engulfed everyone in the mansion before growing even larger.
********************
Outside the heroes continued to fight and hold their own against the villains and their undead army. Even with Pete and Peg now joined in the fray the heroes had managed to combine their efforts to keep their enemies at bay. Even the Horseman had become overwhelmed until Elsa manages to freeze his horse where it stood to keep both of them immobilized. But this victory was short lived as they saw the sudden expanse of magical energy blow from the Mansion and come towards them at an alarming rate.
Seeing this Master Yen Sid only whispered “Too late…” before he and everyone around was engulfed.
It was not long before this explosion of energy reached castle Disney, where Queen Minnie and the others were still waiting for the others to return home victorious. But their attention was drawn to the sudden growing light in the distance that came towards them. Fearing this was the end Minnie took both Daisy and Lilo in her arms and hugged them tight as they all huddled together in fear before being engulfed along with everyone else in the castle and the land.
From this world the spell expanded far and wide throughout the others. To those who would see it would appear as a star or sun that was coming closer before it completely enveloped their world. From Atlantica where Ariel and Eric were watching their daughter Melody practice swimming, to the Land of Dragons where Mulan was questioning where Mushu had disappeared to, to even Neverland where Peter and the Lost Boys were exploring through the great jungle of the island. Every world was caught in the spell, all disappearing in light one by one.
There was nothing now. Nothing but great blinding light. The Tree of Worlds was gone.
********************
With a sudden gasp Merida opened her eyes and stood up from her bed.
She was breathing heavily from the nightmare she’d just had. But was it a nightmare? She remembered how real it all was, the people that she’d met and the Master of Worlds they had to defeat. Yet she looked around and realized she was back in her own room in her family’s castle. Confused as ever the princess got up from bed and ran to the window, looking out to see for herself that she was back in the highlands of her clan.
Merida was home.

Uhp, yep, totally predicted Melanie. Although now my curiosity is now directing me towards a certain ghostly antagonist...
But like New 52 but not as bad as New 52, I predict that a massive meet with the previous story's heroes will culminate?

In terms of 'ghostly antagonist' not really sure who you mean, but I will say that it will be surprising when the matter of the Master of Worlds and the REAL Master come up again. And in terms of everyone meeting again, just something to wait and see on.

I think Sliverladon's speaking of the Phantom from Phantom Manor. The result of mixing Phantom Manor, the Haunted Mansion and the WDW Haunted Mansion together is that Mélanie's backstory becomes a bit inconsistent; the reason she's a ghost in the first place is tied to the backstory of Phantom Manor, along with the character of the Phantom…

What the heck? Is this thing like a time portal or something? Did everyone go back in time or was there a major switch up? Like individuals being sent to other worlds?
Also great plot twist with the Master now not the real Master.
