Description
Starfire found sitting in the darkness. She looked around, there was nothing but the ground beneath her feet.  She started walking and soon found herself in the middle of a cemetery. She knelt down in front of one tombstone, shaped like  T, and removed the weeds covering the name.

She gasped in shock as it read "Here Lies Robin, the boy wonder." She looked around and saw more tombstones with names saying "Raven", "Speedy" , "Beast Boy", "Aqualad", "Kid Flash" "Cyborg". Even ones with "Batgirl", "Supergirl" and "Wonder Girl". She stood and back away, frightened by this, before bumping into something else. She looked to see a large gold memorial saying "Here Lies the Justice League."

Suddenly she saw the scenery change as saw a destroyed Titans Tower. Then a loud bang sounded above her and she saw a fireball falling from the sky down towards her. But she looked closer to see it wasn't a fireball, it was a burning Watchtower falling from orbit.

She suddenly began to hear the sound of horrible laughing. The sound of the Joker laughing before she was infected with his toxin. She feel to the ground as she saw two big yellow eyes staring at her in the darkness and the laughing growing louder and louder. By the time she looked up, the Watchtower was already on top of her.

"Starfire!" Raven said, shaking her friend awake.

Starfire jumped up and looked to see she was inside the medical room. She was clutching the sheets over  her and sweating. She saw that Raven, Beast Boy, Martian Manhunter and Aqualad were standing around her.

"You ok, Star?" Beast Boy asked.

Starfire gasped when she finally realized this wasn't another dream and declared "Friends! You are alright!"

She suddenly seized Aqualad and Beast Boy in her arms and hugged them tightly.

"Not...again.." Aqualad said, feeling her super strength get the better of her hugging.

Beast Boy felt it to and tried to say "Star.....air...."

"Oh, forgive me." She said, letting them go.

Both breathed hard and rubbed the back of their necks from the strain, while Batgirl and Raven gave reassuring smiles.

"It is good to see you are fully recovered, Starfire." J'onn said.

"And you as well, J'onn." She said, standing from her bed now. "Please, were we victorious against the Injustice League?"

They all gave uneasy glances at each other before Raven said "Sorry, Starfire. They got away. All of them. You, Beast Boy and Aqualad were poisoned."

"Poisoned?" she said, surprised. She her tone changed into a more angered tone saying "It was Blackfire. And the evil Jester. They did this."

"Yes." Batgirl said. "His name is the Joker. He managed to poison you, but Batman gave you an antidote before it was too late.

"But what about you, friends?" She asked BB and Aqualad.

"We were infected by poison from Black Manta." Aqualad began. "We got lucky too. Aquaman's been hit by that stuff before. It wasn't pretty."

"But where are our other friends?" Star asked. "And the Justice League?"

"They are on their way." J'onn said, smiling. "I took the liberty of informing them, via telepathy. They will be glad to see you are all..."

"Guys!" Kid Flash suddenly said, having super-sped all the way over and into the room.

"KF!" BB said, walking over and high-fiving him.

Suddenly they could see Supergirl arrived next. Within the next few minutes every one had made their way over to see the three recoveries. All of the Titans had managed to arrive first before even one member of the Justice League did.

"From now on," Speedy began to say to Aqualad "we stick to the same team on missions."
He chuckled and said "You got it."

"Oh and uh....mind not mentioning this to Bee?" Speedy asked. "I know she'll harp on me if she knew I let you get poisoned."

"Don't worry." He said. "My lips are as sealed as an oyster."

"Thanks."

Aquaman walked up to his former partner and said. "Good to see you are well, son."

"Thank you, my king." He said, bowing slightly. "I'm sorry for causing you any..."

"No need for that. I think it's time I worry about you getting poisoned instead of the other way around."

While they spoke, Cyborg and BB talked.

"So how's it feel being poisoned by one of the biggest bad guys of the seven seas?" Cy asked.

"Not as bad as you think, once you get passed the agonizing throbbing." BB said. "But hey, at least I got his awesome battle scar." He rolled up his sleeves and showed three small points on his shoulders. "Makes me feel like an action hero."

"Well action something at least..." Raven commented, making him groan again.

While there were some in the room, the other heroes were standing outside. J'onn joined the League members, with the exception of Aquaman, outside the room where they were looking in.

"So?" Animal Man asked him.

"They are well, as you can see." J'onn said indicating the friends all talking. "Though while they were sleeping, their brain waves acted irregular."

"Nightmares?" Flash asked.

"Possible. It may have been a slight effect from the poisons working out of their systems."

"But otherwise they're fine, right?" Zatanna asked.

"Of course."

"Good." Superman said. "Because they'll need to be after what we have to tell them."

He looked to Wonder Woman, who gave a down casted look. The others gave the same look, while Hawkgirl had a more angered down casted look. Even Aquaman, still inside with the others, gave the same look.

Starfire looked around, both inside and outside the room, before realizing a serious problem.

"Where is Robin?" she asked.

The others looked in confusion, realizing she was right, before Batgirl finally came up to her.

"He and Batman...needed to talk in private." She said. "So he's probably..." She suddenly saw Starfire's gaze look up and smile, as she turned herself to see Robin standing in the doorway. "...back by now." She finished.

"Robin!" Starfire declared, floating over and hugging him.

"Good to see you're alright, Star." He said hugging her back.

Robin looked to Batgirl as he hugged Starfire and gave a look that showed her he knew everything now. She gave tried to give a positive look. But it didn't help him anymore. She then looked and saw Batman giving his own "keeping everything inside" look. He was looking to the two hugging.

"Well?" Wonder Woman asked Batman him when he reached the others.

"What was said was said." He answered. "So what's this important message that J'onn had to tell me in my mind?"

Superman looked o Aquaman inside the room, who nodded and excused himself from the others to go talk with all the other League members outside. They looked back seeing the kids talk before walking off. The younger heroes barely noticed as they were all still so happy to see one another still alive after such an intense battle.

Starfire noticed the sad look in Robin's eyes and asked "Robin?  Is something troubling you?"

He seemed to hesitate, looking to Batgirl for that moment, before saying "I'll be honest, Starfire, there is." This managed to catch everyone else's attention. "I just...found out something. Something bad."

"What?" Kid Flash asked. "Does it have to do with the bad guys?"

Robin didn't know if he should answer, but looked to Batgirl as she gave him a positive look. It was the look that said "it's your choice and I'll agree with you no matter what.

He took a deep breath and looked at all the Titans and young heroes and said "There was a boy...named Jason Todd."

For the next few minutes Robin told them all about Jason Todd, Batgirl helping to fill in any blanks or confirm anything that sounded odd to the others. When he was done the others gave their reactions.

"Whoa..." Beast Boy said.

"Another Robin?" Kid Flash asked. "Can they do that? I mean making someone else into a sidekick."

"Does it matter?" Raven said. "Someone died trying to be a new Robin."

"But I do not understand." Starfire said. "If you are Robin, and this Jason Todd became A robin, does that mean you are not the same Robin from before? Or that the New Robin was trying to be you in disguise? Or..?"

"It's nothing like that, Starfire." Robin said. "The name Robin is....well it's just an identity. Just like Beast Boy's name is actually Garfield."

"It's true." Batgirl said. "We all have different identities."

"Uh...I don't." Raven said, in her usual monotone voice.

"Well most of us anyway." She corrected herself.

"So..." Starfire tried to understand. "...you lie about your real names?"

"It's only to keep who we really are a secret." Cyborg said.

"We can't have everyone knowing who we really are." Speedy added. "Otherwise what's the point of a secret identity?"

"True." Wonder Girl said. "Even those in the Justice League keep secret identities when they wish."

"I am...still not entirely sure about this." Star said.

"I'll explain later." Robin said. "The point is after hearing about Jason Todd," as he spoke his tone seemed to grow colder. "I have a whole new reason for taking down the Joker."

"What?" Cyborg said in surprise. "You're still serious about that?"

"Come on, Robin." Beast Boy said. "You need to let that go."

"He nearly killed Starfire!" Robin nearly shouted when he looked at them. "He's done it before without any regret. And now I find out he did the same to some boy....some boy...who wanted to be Robin. I'm not going to let him stand for that."

"Robin," Supergirl began "I really think you need to calm down and think this through."

"Yeah, Robin." BB added. "That's starting to sound a bit extreme, dude."

"I've let him slip for too long." He said. "It's come down to the last straw. I'm not going to let him do what he did to Jason Todd happen to any of you. Never."

"Robin..." Starfire said, in a more calming tone. "...please. Do not do this. Do not let your hate make you do something you will regret."

He seemed to be hurt by this response as he said "Star.....I...I just don't want to...to see any of you get hurt...and know it was my fault."

"I understand. But please do not let yourself become what you are not." She said.

He looked at her and then back to the others who nodded and gave reassuring looks. He gave a deep breath and had a small smile on his face, showing he was a bit more calm now.

"Thanks guys." He said.

"Hey no sweat." Kid Flash said. "I don't think WE'D be wanting to replace you anytime soon."

"For now though," Wonder Girl began "perhaps we should not focus on one villain, but the entire Injustice League itself."

Suddenly Batgirl cleared her throat to gain all their attention and said "Funny you should mentioned that. Because I..."

Suddenly a voice rung in all their heads. It was the Martian Manhunter's.

(Excuse me, Titans. But I must ask that all of you come to the Monitoring Room. It is a matter of importance.)

They all looked at each other and nodded or shrugged deciding to go.

"You think he was talking to us too when he said 'Titans'?" Supergirl asked.

Wonder Girl responded with a shrug as they all made their way to the room. Once they reached it all the younger heroes stood as a group in front of the League, all sitting down. Some could noticed the hardened and even hurt expressions on some of their faces, others looking down of keeping their eyes closed and arms crossed.

"You telepathically rang?" Beast Boy joked.

Superman looked to his left and right, seeing Wonder Woman and Batman before looking up to the Titans.

"We've been debating this for some time now." He began. "And we've all come to final decision. Before we tell you, we want you to know this has nothing to do with your performance, or your abilities as heroes. That being said, we think it only fair to tell you.....for the remainder of the mission, all of you are off until further notice."

"WHAT?" practically all of the Titans said.

"You can't be serious." Cyborg said.

"I'm sorry to say, but we are." Green Lantern said. "We all took a final vote, and well....this is where we found ourselves."

"What brought this on to begin with?" Aqualad asked.

"We've all had a rough experience with our first encounter with the Injustice League." Batman said. "And it nearly cost lives...your lives."

"That was one mission." Speedy retorted. "You're going to take us out after one mission?"

"It's not because of that, Speedy." Green Arrow said. "But you don't know what it's like against these bad guys. They're on a whole other level."

"So are you saying we can't handle it?" Supergirl asked, in an annoyed tone. "Some of these bad guys we've fought before."

"And some of you haven't." Batman said. "The point is...not all of you are ready, and we can't risk what happened today happening again."

"But...but...." Beast boy stammered. "but we're heroes. We've saved the world a dozen times. We took down the Brotherhood of Evil all on our own. We even have a theme song for crying out loud!"

"I'm sorry." Superman said. "But the decision has been made."

"This....this can't be happening." Kid Flash said.

"Kid..." Flash said "I'm sorry."

"Sister?" Wonder Girl asked to Wonder Woman. "Please tell me this is just a joke."

"I...I can't." she said back. "I'm sorry sister."

"Can they...can they even do that?" Cyborg asked to Robin.

"They just did." Robins said with a cold tone, looking to the Batman.

"It was a tough decision. For all of us." Batman said. "We did what we felt was best."

"So would I." Robin said. "I just wouldn't leave it to a vote."

With that he turned and walked away. The others soon followed. The League was left to their own counsel now.

"They're never gonna forgive us for this." Green Arrow said.

"It's still for the best." J'onn said. "I didn't tell them what I had told you, about reading their minds and seeing what how too emotionally invested they've become."

"Then maybe we should've been more honest with them about that." Firestorm said. "I mean, can we really just leave them out of this?"

"If it means keeping them from going headfirst into a dangerous situation and not being ready, then yes." Aquaman said. "It's tough, we all know, but there's no other option."

"What?" Animal Man said. "Not even more training? More supervision? And not just Superman's X-ray I mean."

"You really think they'd have agreed to that?" Green Lantern said. "They've all trained for years and have done missions on their own before. Trying to say they need more practice would be insulting."

"I still think this is wrong." Flash added. "I mean this can't be it forever. Only us tackling the big missions and leaving everyone else out. What are we supposed to do, wait till they can become members of the League?"

As they all talked and argued, Wonder Woman noticed Batman had turned his seat to the side and was deep in thought.

The Titans had found themselves all in the hanger. Batgirl, who none had noticed, was gone. There were all standing around as a group near the T-Ship. While some stood others sat on large crates nearby.

"This is unbelievable!" Speedy said, sitting on a crate and bending one of his arrows. "They're just going to keep us out of this?"

"Tell me about it." Kid Flash said, pacing back and forth. "I mean I can't believe that my uncle, all our mentors for that matter, are saying we can't cut it."

"They didn't say that." Raven said, leaning against another crate near Speedy. "At least they tried not to sound like that."

"That's my point!" Speedy added. "They're saying we're not good enough."

"And to think," Beast Boy said, sitting on the ground near a separate pile of crates. "I wanted to get their autographs. This is worse than the Doom Patrol."

"Heck, at least they let us help." Cyborg added. "Here we try once and that's it. Game over."

"I can't believe it." Aqualad said. "Even my own king..."

"You're king?" Supergirl said. "What about MY cousin? Thinking I can't do this. He's always like that." In her anger she kicked one crate all the way to the other side of the hanger, shattering on impact. "This is so...so...lousy!"

"So what are we to do now?" Starfire asked.

"I'm not sure." Robin said. "But we're not just gonna sit here and let the League try to handle this on their own."

Suddenly Beast Boy started to shake his head as if he was feeling something off about it.
"You ok?" Raven asked.

"Uh...I'm fine." He said rubbing his eyes. He suddenly perked up and said "Hey! What if we find the Injustice League ourselves?"

"What?" Kid Flash said in surprise. "Oh I get it. Another joke, right BB? Yeah good one."

"No seriously." He retorted. "Think about it. We find the bad guys, and the League gets there foot in their mouths for thinking we didn't have what I took."

Suddenly Wonder Girl and Aqualad, who both did the same rubbing their heads action as Beast Boy did without anyone seeing started agreeing with him.

"He's got a point." Aqualad said. "I mean, if you ask me, I say we take the chance."

"Agreed." Wonder Girl said. "We stop the Injustice League, and we prove ourselves to the... 'regular' Justice League."

"Hey yeah." Supergirl said. "That sounds like an idea."

"Um....are you guys sure about this?" Cyborg asked.

Suddenly Starfire, who did the same action as the others, said "Yes. I agree. I say we stop this Injustice League ourselves."

"But, Starfire," Robin began "I thought you said..."

"I said you should not take out your revenge on the Joker. But that does not mean we should not try and kick-the-butt of the Injustice League ourselves."

"Alright, Star." Speedy said. "I'm with them on this one Robin."

"Me too." Kid Flash said. "No more sitting on our butts and letting the League have all the fun."

"Well if you're all going, I guess I can't say no can I?" Cyborg shrugged while smiling.

He and a few others looked to Raven, who gave a deep sigh and said "Fine."

They all looked to Robin, who was a bit surprised by their eagerness to try and find the Injustice League now.

"Well...as much as I like the idea," he began "there's still one problem. Where are we supposed to look?"

"I think I know." Someone from behind said.

All looked back to see Batgirl there, with a confident look on her face.

"You do?" Robin asked.

"I meant to tell you guys before, in the med wing." She began. "During my fight with Gizmo, I managed to plant a tracer on him. I've been trying to get the signal clear for a while, but I think I finally got it."

"Whoa, whoa hold up." Cyborg said. "You had a tracer this whole time and you didn't say anything until now?"

"That does sound a bit odd." Raven added.

"Well after that portal made by Warp," Batgirl began to explain "the signal was way too jumble. Nothing clear was coming through until now. I was going to tell you guys earlier, in the med bay, but then the League called us out. So I say we follow it now."

"Alright, B!" Supergirl said. "Let's go then."

"Right!" Speedy said. "I call shotgun in the T-Ship."

"Aww man." Beast Boy said.

Robin. Who saw as all the others looked to him, sighed and said "Alright. Let's go. But we only scout. No attacking until we at least call the League for support."

"Agreed." Starfire said.

They all nodded or gave their agreeing responses before they all started to make their way onto the ship. Robin, Raven,  Speedy, Batgirl and Cyborg would take the ship while Supergirl and Starfire, who could survive in space, would fly down with them. The others would teleport down and either swim, fly or run to the spot.

Once they were all down on the Earth's surface, they waited until they were all in the same group, flying over the oceans like before, and heading towards the tracer's source. All talked to each other via communicators.

"So any idea where or what this place is?" Cyborg asked.

"It's some island in the middle of the Atlantic." Batgirl said. "It doesn't show up on any map, but the signal is definitely above sea-level."

"So what is the plan once we are there?" Wonder Girl asked.

"We search for evidence to prove the Injustice League's there." Robin said. "Then we call in the League."

"Aw c'mon, Robin." Aqualad said, "Can't we get a few swings in first before calling the League?"

"Better safe than sorry, Aqualad. There's still a dangerous army of super villains, and we don't know what they could be planning."

They finally reached the island. It was a fairly large, circular and highly vegetated island. The main feature of it was a large smoking volcano in the middle, jutting out like a spear tip.

Once all of them landed, or came to shore, they looked around.

"Hey I think I know this place." Robin said.

He walked over to one of the large cliffs nearby and looked down. The others followed and looked down to. At the bottom was a large valley. Inside of it were the rusted, destroyed, or otherwise non-functional robot husks of dinosaurs.

"Dinosaur Island!" Cyborg said. "Aw, I remembering hearing about this place as a kid."

"Me too." Kid Flash said. "It was supposed to be one of the newest robot theme parks with life-like models."

"Until the place was taken over by some villain who wanted to use the robots as an army." Supergirl added. "I think I heard about the League tackling these things. Guess it was true." She indicated how so many were destroyed and broken as if going through a fight.

"C'mon." Batgirl said. "The signal goes west, towards the volcano."

They all followed, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. Supergirl used her hearing and sight to be on the look-out, Cyborg kept his sensors up and Beast Boy turned into a bloodhound and sniffed around. They finally reached the base of the volcano. Supergirl tried to use her X-ray vision to see inside.

"Aw nuts." She said. "It's lined with lead. I can't see anything."

Beast Boy changed back and said "But there was someone hear. The scents a bit weak but it's there."

"Any ideas how we find the door then?" Speedy asked.

"I have an idea." Wonder Girl said.

She pulled out her lasso and held it up to the rocks of the volcano. Eventually the lasso glowed it's gold before showing a part of the volcano as a transparent wall. They could all see inside of it, leading to a corridor.

"Whoa." Aqaulad said, just as surprised as some of the others. "How did you do that?"

"My lasso is enchanted." She explained. "It allows only the truth to be seen and heard."

"Good work." Robin said.

"So, do we knock or just let ourselves in?" BB asked.

Starfire answered by gripping the sides of the door and ripping it off.

"That answer your question?" Kid Flash asked before they went in.

Robin and Batgirl took the lead while the others followed. Eventually they reached the end which lead to another door.

"Lead again." Supergirl said. "Man I can't get a break today, can I?"

"Then let's just rip it off again." Speedy said.

"Step aside." Cyborg said. "Allow me." The moment he touched it however, it shocked him, sending him back. "Ok, new plan: somebody else try." He finished as he picked himself up.

"Well we know they're definitely here." Robin said. "Now it's time we call the League." Just as he pulled out it communicator however, Batgirl suddenly knocked it out of his hand. "What did you do that for?" He looked and saw as her eyes seemed to stare at him with a blank expression. "Batgirl?" he said, confused by this.

Suddenly the room started to fill was gas. Some looked to the other door ro escape, but it closed behind them.

"It's a trap!" Raven declared.

Suddenly they began to cough as the gas seeped into their lungs. They started dropping to the ground, some starting to pass out. However, Beast Boy, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, and Starfire, along with Batgirl stood there with the same blank expressions on their faces.

"Y...you....?" Robin said. "You....were the..tra...tra....."

Suddenly the other door open and he saw as a few figures stepped out. He could barely make out the three who stood above him, Scarecrow, Blackfire , Joker and Slade.

"Hello, Robin." Slade said, looking down. "Well, it looks like you found me."

"Sl...Slade..." Robin said before passing out.

"Nighty, night kiddies." Joker gigged before all were passed out.
