Description
The Titans, still secured to their holding cells, found it uneasy as Automaton just stared at them while keeping watch.“You just going to stand there all day or what?” BB said, sounded half annoyed and half frustrated. When he didn’t get an answer he said “Hello? Anyone there?”
“Don’t waste your breath, Beast Boy.” Cyborg said, still looking at Automaton. “He won’t say anything unless his boss does. There’s nothing left of who he was, just this walking shell.”
As if in response to that comment, Automaton walked up to Cyborg, face-to-face, and said {You may wish to pre-determine what you plan to speak next when in my presence}
Cyborg, as well as Robin, Starfire, and BB who were watching, were a bit surprised by, but they weren’t sure if it was the comment or the fact that he spoke in general.
Automaton returned to his post as usual, keeping his eyes fixed on them at all times.
“Uh...what did he say?” BB asked.
Starfire answered by saying “I believe, in laments terms, it is his equivalent to...shut up.”
As they remained quiet for a moment Robin looked over to see Raven looking down with her eyes closed.
“You alright, Raven?” he asked, making the others look too. When she didn’t answer Robin said “Is this about Azara?”
She finally opened her eyes, not looking to them, and said “I just...can’t believe I never knew.”
“How could you?” Cy asked. “From the sound of it not even Trigon wanted to know she was around.”
“Bet that had to be rough.” BB added.
“The whole time she looked at me,” Raven began “I could feel it.”
“Feel what?” Robin asked.
“A growing sense of...rage...and suffering.” She looked to them and said “I feel so sorry for her.”
The others looked concerned for her when they saw the sorrowful look on Raven’s face.
Robin turned his attention back to Automaton, who was still looking directly at them all.
“Any ideas yet?” BB whispered to him.
“None that he wouldn’t be able to hear.” Robin answered, still looking at Automaton. He then looked to Raven and asked “You can’t teleport out of that?”
She indicated the barrier in front of her and said “It’s magic, used with old runes made specifically for my type of magic.”
“Guess we can thank Azara for that.” Robin stated.
“Then we are lost.” Starfire said. “We have no way to escape. We would require, as you earthlings would say, a miracle.”
Just then the lights in the room went out, making everything go dark. Automaton took light of this and looked around.
{Sight insufficient} he said. {Switching to infer-red}
His vision then turned to infer-red as he scanned the room for whatever caused the lights to go out. The Titans looked in confusion as well, not sure of what was going on.
Suddenly something flew out from somewhere in the darkness and landed on Automaton’s back. Before he even realized it the device, a dark silver circular disk-like object with yellow circuitry, began to electrocute him. After a few seconds, Automaton fell flat on the ground with a loud thud.
“What the...?” BB said before someone dropped in front of them.
There were three figures there, one very tall one, one medium and the last being the shortest.
“The Teen Titans?” the shortest asked.
“Who are you?” Robin asked back.
In response the three figures stepped into the more visible light in the room so the Titans could see them. They were familiar and yet different once the Titans saw who they were.
The tallest one was wearing a blue costume without sleeves to reveal his large muscular arms. He wore a green belt around his waist with a red M on the buckle of it. On his feet were similar colored boots. His hair was long and blonde while being shaped into more of a Mohawk.
The middle sized one was African American and wore a specialized helmet that covered his upper face and scalp, leaving his mouth exposed. The helmet had one eye socket that looked more like a black hole in the middle of the blue colored helmet itself. His suit was purple and covered his body while he also wore blue gloves and boots. On his chest was a symbol of a hole with a blue eye in the center of it.
The final, and shortest, member of the trio wore a yellow jumpsuit with a number of zippers where the pockets of it were. He had a pair of black goggles over his eyes and a bald head. On his back was a large metal backpack with the letter C in yellow on it.
One first glance they looked like Gizmo, Mammoth and See-More from the H.I.V.E. Five, yet these were different versions from this world.
“We’re here to help.” The other Gizmo one said, before nodding to the others.
They ran up and started freeing the Titans, the Mammoth copy ripping their bonds while the See-More one used his scope to burning them off by switching the vision scope to a red color and using a beam to melt the bonds. While they were at it, the Gizmo counterpart started hacking the computers nearby by using mechanical tentacles that sprouted from his backpack and attached to them.
Once BB was freed, he looked over at the good guy versions of their enemies and said “This day just gets weirder and weirder.”
Robin, now freed along with the others, looked over to Automaton and began to ask “Is he...?”
“No.” The Gizmo of the group said. “It’s a dampener. We only have 10 minutes before he reboots and alerts the others.” As he spoke, he was looking at what he was doing with the computers the whole time.
“What are you doing?” Cyborg asked him.
“Dealing with the alarms.” He said, still not looking to them. “They’re wired to the containment cells. They go off and the whole Tower goes into lockdown.”
“How did you know we were here?” Robin asked.
“We’ll explain everything once we’re out of here.” The See-More clone said. “Right now, the #1 priority is getting you out of here.”
As they spoke the other Mammoth walked over to one of the doors, placing his ear against it as if listening for anything.
“Hurry up, Circuit.” He called back to the Gizmo clone.
“No good rushing it, Mastodon.” He called back. Ina few moments he retracted the tentacles and said “Done. Now let’s get out of here.”
The Titans looked to them, a bit confused, before Raven said “We’re supposed to trust you?”
“You’re free to stay if you want.” Circuit said.
The Titans looked amongst each other before Robin signed and said “Which way?”
“Follow us.” He said before he and the others lead the Titans out of the room.
********************
In the main room of the Tower, the Terror’s were still sitting among themselves.
Talon had his hands folded as he was in deep thought about his plans for the Teen Titans. Changeling was busy playing with a hand-held game that he seemed furiously deep in. Shadowstar was fixing her hair while looking in a hand-held mirror. And Azara was hovering to the side, deep in meditation.
As Azara meditated, she could feel the emotions of all in the Tower, especially Raven’s given their connection. It was when she felt the sudden emotion of hope and concern from her sister that Azara’s eyes opened.
“They have escaped! she said, gaining the others attention.
By the time the Terror’s had reached the holding room the Titans were in, they could see the ruined cells and Automaton still lying on the ground. Talon rushed over just as he’d rebooted and picked himself up.
Talon looked to all of them and said “Find them!”
********************
The Titans, along with the three counterparts, made their way down one hallway after another. It was so similar yet so different from the Tower the Titans called home in their own universe. Eventually they reached a dead end.
“Oh great.” BB said. “A dead end.”
“And we will meet the same if we do not escape.” Starfire said.
“No problem.” Circuit said. He looked to the See-More clone and said “You’re up, Lens-cap.”
He nodded and switched the scope on his helmet to a green color. He fired it and a circular beam shot out and hit the wall. A green portal emerged from the beam and made the wall seem transparent. On the other side was the open world and the city lite up with the night sky, a few stories down.
“Let’s go!” Circuit said as he ran forward.
He jumped out and went into the open air. He fell for a second before activating his backpack which made two large rocket-boosters pop out, letting him fly up to wait for the others to follow.
“Come on!” he cried to them.
BB nodded before running out and reaching the other side. Once out in the air he changed into a falcon and flew next to Circuit. Starfire flew out next along with Raven.
Robin was about to follow when he heard some shout “Hold it!”
He, Cyborg, Mastodon and Lens-Cap all looked to see Changeling and Azara coming towards them. Changeling took the form of a hyena as he ran with Azara flying next to him.
Cyborg aimed his cannon before Mastodon stepped in front of him, still looking forward, and said “I got this.”
He gave a roar before slamming his fists to the ground, this made part of the hallway start to collapse and cause debris to fall down in front of the two Terrors. The group took a brief breath of relief before Azara seemed to faze through the rubble and keep coming towards them. Before she could reach them she was hit by a yellow beam of energy that seemed to cause her pain as she fought it. The others looked to see Lens-Cap standing there with his scope changed to yellow.
“That won’t keep her down for long.” He said. “We need to go.”
They all nodded before jumping out, Robin and Mastodon first and then Cyborg and Lens-Cap. Starfire caught Cyborg and Robin while Mastodon, with Lens-Cap holding onto his back since he was light enough, fell on his feet down below, making a massive impact creator in the process. The others flew down to meet them and the landed.
“Now what?” Robin asked.
“This way!” Mastodon said, running off to the right with Circuit and Lens-Cap following.
The Titans followed close, still unsure of what to think about their saviors.
********************
Almost an hour later and the Titans found themselves hiding within one of the back alleys of the city, more specifically behind a dumpster and a few fallen bags of trash, along with the counterpart heroes.
“Why are we still hiding?” Starfire asked them.
“Shhh.” Mastodon said before indicating in front of them.
In the street in front of them a red dire wolf, similar to a normal wolf only much larger, was sniffing out the area. It sniffed the ground and air for a few moments before running off. They all took a sigh of relief before Circuit looked back to them.
“They’ll be patrolling the city for hours.” He said. “We need to get you someplace safe.”
“But why are you helping us in the first place?” Robin asked.
“And how did you even know we were here?” BB asked.
“Like we said,” Lens-Cap began “it’ll all be explained.”
The two others looked ahead, towards the street, before Mastodon said “Lens-Cap and I’ll search ahead.” to Circuit, who nodded.
As they went off towards the other end of the street and Circuit stood at his post on his side, the Titans went further back to talk amongst themselves.
“You really think we can trust these guys?” Cyborg asked.
“Not like we have much of a choice.” Raven stated. “And they did bring us this far.”
“But their bad guys.” BB added.
“In our world this may be true.” Starfire said. “But here things would seem the opposite.”
“Starfire’s got a point.” Robin said. “If there can be evil Titans in this world, then maybe there’s a good H.I.V.E. academy and who knows what else.”
Suddenly they heard Circuit call to them and say “The cost is clear.” He started running for the street before looking back and saying “Come on!”
They followed to the other side of the street and into another alley way. They made their way through more back alleys before eventually reaching where they needed to go. It was an run down looking warehouse, with broken widows and rusted pieces of metal here-and-there, which had a door that groaned when opened. When they entered they found the whole place empty, with the exception of a few crates and old forklifts.
“This is your base?” BB asked “Could use some decorating.”
“Just watch.” Circuit said, walking over with the others towards one of the crates.
Mastodon moved open a secret hatch on the side of it which revealed a scanner. Lens-Cap put his face in front which scanned and pinged for a second before revealing a hidden doorway in the floor nearby. When the Titans looked down they could see a winding stairway.
“Whoa.” BB said.
The three went done first before being followed by the Titans. In a few moments they reached the bottom where a large steel door was. On the front of it was an emblem of the world, painted black, with the letter B in red in front of it. Scanner came down from the wall above the door and a red beam scanned all the three heroes before opening.
Circuit turned to the Titans and said “Welcome to the underground base of the Brotherhood of Justice.”
The door opened to a large hallway with metal walls which the three lead the Titans down through. Once they reached the end they found themselves standing in a large circular room.
On first glance it resembled the H.I.V.E. academy building, given it’s designing on the wall and floors, only with the colors white and grey. There were a number of computers set along the walls, some of them being attended to by workers of the Brotherhood.
The workers were different men and woman dressed in white sleeveless jumpsuits with black stripes going up the sides and matching black boots.
Where there weren’t computers, there were either doorways leading to other parts of the base as well as large monitors hooked up to the different computers. Each monitor showed different images, mainly those of the city and damages sustained from past attacks by the Terror Titans and news broadcasts; one of which being done by a Gordon Godfrey clone, known as Gregory Gilbert, and a Grace Amza clone, known as May Belle.
Standing in the center of the room, and speaking with a few workers, was a man who must’ve been the counterpart to Brother Blood. He looked the same as Blood as when he’d been upgraded with cyborg implants, only his coloring was more white going along with the grey and white armor parts. Even his face was fully clear, not being half robotic like Cyborg’s and Brother Blood’s, and he looked a bit young given that his hair was black with a white strip going down the sides of it.
Once he ordered off the workers, he turned to see them and said “Ah. Good. You’ve arrived. I knew my boy would get you here in one piece.”
“Uh...and you are?” Robin asked.
“Oh, forgive me.” He said, walking up and shaking his hand. “I’m Brother Bold. One of the founding members of the Brotherhood.”
As he shook Cyborg’s hand, he said “Uh...yeah. Nice to me you too.” Sounding a bit dumbfounded by what he was seeing.
“So you’re the one who sent the rescue party?” Raven asked.
“Yes.” He answered. “We’d been tracking you ever since you entered town.”
“You mean you were spying on us?” Starfire said.
“At first we thought you were the others.” He stated. “You understand of course.”
“Yeah kind of picked up on that.” BB said.
“But once we saw your little bout with the Terror Titans,” Bold continued “and the some of the more obvious behavior,” he indicated a screen behind him, showing footage of the Titans saving people from the results of the explosion at the pizza shop from before “we knew we had to find you. And I see the boys here have been helpful.” he indicated the three who saved them.
“Just doing our job, Bold.” Mastodon said.
“Well we weren’t too sure what to think.” Cyborg said. “See back in Our world, you’re the bad guys and were the good guys.”
Lens-Cap gave an abrupt “Pfft.” before saying. “Yeah right. I’s pay to see that.”
“Perhaps I should make the proper introductions.” Brother Bold said. “This is Circuit, Mastodon and Lens-Cap.” he indicated each as he mentioned them. “They’re some of the more younger....and possibly some of the last, members of the Brotherhood of Justice.”
“The last?” Robin asked.
“Yeah.” Circuit began. “You know who they took you guys prisoner? They usually don’t.”
Brother Bold saw all the slightly socked looks in the Titans faces before saying “Perhaps we should ask the more important question: how did you all get here?”
It took a few moments before the Titans fully flushed out their story of what happened with Warp in the S.T.A.R. labs. Once they were done, Bold scratched his chin in interest.
“I think you should come with me.” He said. “You’ll want to meet with the rest of the Brotherhood, as well as our leader.”
With that he, and the other Brotherhood members, lead the Titans through one of the doorways in the room to enter another hallway. In a moment they reached the end where it opened to a new room.
In was basically similar in shape to the other room, but it was larger and looked more like a training area of sorts. There was a small filed with a number of obstacles, from metal turrets and ever-changing terrains to robots, and on the side was a bleacher-like series of benches and chairs.
In the room were 2 other young heroes and one older one. All were what the Titans were expecting, heroic versions of their villains in the other world. All of them looked as the group entered and stood ready for Brother Bold to give the introductions.
“Allow me to introduce the rest of the team.” He said.
The first person he indicated was this worlds Billy Numerous. He wore a green, sleeveless jumpsuit with sliver bands around his arms, matching with his boots and a visor he wore over his eyes, and a multiply sign, in black, on his chest.
“This is Matthew-Multiple.”
“I prefer Mat-Multiple.” He stated, giving a wink to the group.
The next one he introduced was counterpart of Private H.I.V.E. He wore a white and black suit, similar to Private’s, with a helmet that covered the upper-half of his face, leaving his mouth exposed. The visor on the helmet covered his eyes and is shield was round, instead of hexagon shaped, with a large red C in the middle of it.
“Cadet Courage.” Bold said.
He saluted and said “Pleasure to meet you all.”
Finally Bold introduced this worlds Professor Chang. He wore a body-suit similar to Chang’s only the head part was more rounded to fit his head. His support tubing went around his waist like a belt instead of over his arms. He had more rounded goggles to show his eyes and a small goatee on his face.
“And This is Doctor Yong.” Bold said. “He’s responsible for building all of this.” He indicated the room as well as the Brotherhood’s base.
“All for a good cause.” Yong said. He walked up and shook the Titans’ hands, saying “A great honor to finally meet Titans with hearts.”
“Uh, yeah.” BB said. “Likewise.”
“There are two others in our party.” Bold explained. “While I’m not sure what’s keeping one, the other is in private seclusion.”
“And that would be?” Raven asked.
“The one called Portal. And given what you’ve said about your world, I suppose you’d know his counterpart as Warp.”
“So it’s just you guys?” Cyborg asked, indicating the small number of heroes.
“I’m afraid so.” Brother Bold began. “When we first began there were many more of us. We were all brought together under the leadership of a brave man, named Wilson. Yong and I were some of the first, and together we formed a fighting force dedicated to stopping the evil reign of the Terror Titans.”
“But what became of your comrades?” Starfire asked. “Surely, if what you say is true, there must be others like you to help.”
“There are others to be sure.” Yong began. “But most have their own battles to fight. And of the ones we managed to assemble, many either died fighting or have decided to quit the life of saving lives. It was hard for all in the end.”
“Guess they got their butts kicked as much as OUR bad guys did.” BB whispered to Cyborg.
“Yeah, but at least it was for the better in our case.” Cy whispered back. “With them, it’s like US losing a fight.”
“But there’s still something you haven’t told us.” Robin said. “Why did you save us in the first place?”
“Because you’re the key to what the Terrors have been seeking for some time.” Bold stated. “The doorway to other worlds.”
“What?” all the Titans said together.
“Perhaps I should explain.” Yong said. “Some time ago, I, along with others, had been researching into portals to other dimensions. We hoped to use it in order to expanded on the time-space theories and planes. However we could not fully develop on the technology for the ideas were too advanced. But then when Portal came, he had what we needed to further our projects. Unfortunately, The Terror Titans gained wind of this plan and wanted to use the technology to access other worlds. They want to expand their ever-growing borders to other worlds so they can conquer everything in existence.”
“Whoa.” BB said.
“Are they serious?” Cyborg asked. “Trying to take over other worlds?”
“Any that they can at least.” Bold said. “It’s their leader, Talon, who wants this more than any other.”
“So how did you find out about all of this?” Robin asked. “I’m sure the Terrors wouldn’t have told you on their own.”
“They didn’t.” Bold aid. “We had a double-agent in their ranks who managed to get us the information.” Just as he finished the sentence, one of the other doors to the room opened and someone came walking though. “Ah. And here she is now.”
As the person came closer, the Titans could see it was a girl. She wore a one-piece white and black suit with that had no leggings, exposing her skin. She wore knee high boots that were also white and black. On her hands she wore fingerless gloves. But what struck the Titans the most was her face. While having short black hair, her face and her gentle blue eyes were all too familiar.
“Is that....who I think it is?” Cyborg said as she came closer.
When she finally reached them, the girl waved and said “Hi there. You must be the OTHER Titans, right?”
Beast Boy walked up to her, looking shocked, and said “T...Terra?”
She gave him an odd look and said “Uh...maybe in your world. But Here you can call me Atlee.”

So... will this end in a bb/terra sorta ship? Wont mind if it does but me and terra had problems;
everyone pityed her because she couldn't control her powers, and really thats her only reason to join slade. But when you think about it, raven had a much larger problem on the subject and had had to deny all emotion to deny evil the titans universe. Even beast boy had a bigger issue (the beast) than terra, so its a bit heart breaking to have your favorite character pushed to the side because of her sacrifices to keep this universe demon free.
Ok ok, I've stoped ranting, keep writing

I had it as an idea but idk if I'd ever go full BB/Terra. I agree Terra had issues, but if you saw the one from the comics you'd REALLY hate her lol. But either way I only added it for the sake of story and development. In the meantime, however, I've built more of a BB/Raven ship, which I highly agree with lol.
