Paper pieced bird of paradise quilt block. Part of a birthday present for my aunt.
It's gonna be a pillow and hopefully will be in California before her birthday on the first! The pattern was a free pattern that I came across on pintrest. I traced it onto phonebook pages and that was the paper I used for the foundation piecing. The fabric is all left over from the quilt I put together last year for her. The only exception is the orange and blue. The background isn't just white! It's glittery white! So pretty

That's wonderful. Great choice of fabrics too. I've not done paper piecing in ages. Had a quilt I was working on, chose the contrasts too poorly.
