Description
Paper pieced bird of paradise quilt block. Part of a birthday present for my aunt. The pattern was a free pattern that I came across on pintrest. I traced it onto phonebook pages and that was the paper I used for the foundation piecing. The fabric is all left over from the quilt I put together last year for her. The only exception is the orange and blue. The background isn't just white! It's glittery white! So pretty

That's wonderful. Great choice of fabrics too. I've not done paper piecing in ages. Had a quilt I was working on, chose the contrasts too poorly.

Thank you. I was worried about the blue, but just worked with what I had laying around in my fabric stash. I'm glad it worked out as well as it did.

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear this! I was worried that unless you knew what I was going for you wouldn't be able to see it

Wow! That looks just a bit challenging. Think I could get a link for my aunt who quilts?
