..I love purple...One true pairing you guys............................ title comes from dub first season, when Tyson tells Kai that black doesn't suit him... that, and it's kinda witty for their clothes...heheh

I like yuor little pun as it is. rather clever and I didn't catch on for a couple f seconds until I read your notes.
The way how this is set up looks like a great movie shot - it would look great in a doujin. Though, as a stand alone piece, it's perfect.
What's a nic feeling about TyKai is that the pairing works so well. Season by season, you can see them getting closer towards each other while in the manga (though I'm yet to finish it), they still get on in their later years. Though never canon, it would've been great.

That purple sky is utterly gorgeous and really does the trick for setting the mood. I like how there also seems to be a tint of purple in the shading as well - means you know what you're doing.

Black doesn't really suit (no pun intended) either of them, but amazing detail Ranma! I love the sky, especially how it's purple, and then the lights give a pinkish glow. It looks very beautiful, especially since purple nights are rare (at least where I am). The shading and highlighting is fantastic. You always do such a great job. Especially on clothes (which I'm jealous of you for).

I love their expression here, how Kai seems to be shying away almost by lowering his head and hiding his eyes while Tyson is more open and all "hey, come on." <333 And of course suits are utter love.

I agree with what you've said in your comment. Ranma; Tyka is a TRUE ship. Well there's no better way than saying it.... I loved it.
It's gives me some sort of message. Kai wasn't really very open as he was introduced in Beyblade. He appeared pretty cold. So maybe Kai would like black. And Black suited him at the time. To me the colour black shows a sign of hiding and not being open. In the end of G-rev, Kai had huge character development and opened himself more.
I guess that's sorta why Tyson's saying that black dosen't suit him. Because he isn't so dark anymore and is a better person. Tyson wants him to open up to him more and be the happy person that Tyson knows he can be.
I really liked this art. The detail is spot on and the message it gives to me is fantastic.
