I actually by mistake said that to this American dude who sits near me. In the middle of a test, I said, "Hey, can I use a rubber?" and he just stared at me like :blank: for ever. I was kind of creeped out and I asked, "...WHAT?!" He was like, "I don't have a rubber. Why are you asking me for a condom?" He explained it to me and I nearly died.

I knew a girl from Britain, and we both went to an American school: Now, I'm Italian so I didn't really get either side of the discussion at all (XD fail), but something like this happened with the word "rubber"... in which the Brit meant an eraser, and the Americans all thought of a condom. ... It was hilarious for everyone else, but I just sat there veeeeeeeeeery confused, trying to figure out why "rubber" was so funny. >U< I thought of a rubber bouncy ball!!!
