I also have spanish courses ongoing right now. And I'm slowly learning japanese on my own too!!

I do love French! It just sounds so pretty, but my stepdad forced me to take Spanish when I started middle school, so I just had to stick with that...

Haha! I take Spanish at school, I'm in my third year. I barely know any French, though! I just pick up tiny tidbits from my brother...

I had no idea you spoke French! Is it your first language?

Well well thanks dear! I didn't knew someone would say to me that she really REALLY liked French that much! And poor you! Your dad shouldn't force you to take spanish! D: It's not fair.

I'm at my Third year too!!! ^3^ And I was forced to learn spanish too...

You really had no idea?! Yesh! It's my first language!!!! Doesn't seem so, right?

My dad wouldn't frce me to take Spanish, but my stepdad was like, "Well, since your going into middle school, why not take a language?"

And I was like, "Well, most people don't start a language until 7th or 8th grade."

But he was like, "Well, I think we should sign you up for Spanish I, then aybe you could become a translator when you grow up!"

And I thought to myslef, "Dude, I don't wanna be a translator when I grow up, idiot! I wanna be something else!"

Now, I'm in Spanish III, and I have no friends, cuz everyone else in my class isn't even from my school, they're from the high school (There are no Spanish III classes in the middle school, so Ihave to walk over to the high school every other day, just to get to my class)!

Spanish is cool too, but I'd way rather take French!

really awkward... Here's my story

I'm in a international program name International Baccalaureate (IB) and I need to learn a third language in order to stay in this elite program. This program is harder, you have science courses twice more, you need a third language, you need to be in enriched first language/second language, you need literature courses... and a lot more. And you have enriched maths which also means more harder exams... And so, I was obligated to learn Spanish...

So, I learn French, English and Spanish at the same time... ok I don't mind English since I'm a bit better than our teacher... [she sucks...] And I'm a French genius... But I just can't learn Spanish for some reasons... I have all the knowledge but it seems I just can't apply it. .______________________. It sucks. When you'll finish Spanish III... isn't it the last Spanish "level"? if yes, you'll be able to take French and talk to me in French! And I'll help you! Like by correcting your texts and helping you with the [stupid] past participle and lots of other magnificent things!!

Haha! My parents wanted me to take the IB course, because I have all A's most of the time, but I'm also a slacker, and get very stressed out very easily by homework and school in general, so I convinced them not to make me do it. And everyone I know who takes the IB course says it kinda consumes their life and it sucks, so I feel very bad for you.

Well, I'm sorry you kinda suck at Spanish, but don't feel too bad. Learning a language can be hard, and I can barely keep my grade up to an A. But, I don't know what you mean by "level" for Spanish III, but it isn't the last Spanish course you can take. Next year, I will be taking Spanish IV, and at my school, it goes up to Spanish VI, so if I take all the Spanish courses, I will be in 12th grade when I finish them. But, I might stop after Spanish IV to move on to French, I'm not sure yet, though. I might not take a languge in 12th grade, cuz I've been taking a language ever since I was able to, so I don't know what it's like not having to worry about it...

well you don't have too. I mean, It's not that bad. It's just harder. And it doesn't really consumes my life ether. It's just a bit more work and since I'm now working really fast, thanks to IB, I do whatever I want! ^3^

I just don't why I suck that much in spanish... I just don't know. And by level I mean, I'm in third year spanish and out here we kinda name it third level cuz in first year it was like spanish 1 and in second year is was like spanish 2 and so level three is like spanish 3... you know. And I'm so with you!!! Move to French as soon as possible!!! The younger you are, the most easy it will be to get the "french accent"!!!
