Description So this is from issue 2 of Yuletide Nightmare. And yes, that is 33 character + clothing + other stuff. No postwork camera tricks, all of them in the same render at the same time. Few small errors like footwear going too far into the ground (hard to judge the displacement on the floor), but otherwise not too bad. This is (thus far) the second most populated scene in terms of characters in the story. The two images currently tied for the lead in character count can't be shown here because...well, guess.

The story concludes with part 5, scheduled for release the weekend of March 5th, 2016.

If the floor is flat, then it should be possible to judge placement of shoes etc using a horizontal orthographic view down at floor level. If necessary, hide obstructing figures--it should be possible to do this without affecting the render.

Displacement is an effect produced while rendering and thus the only way of seeing how much the floor micropolygons are displaced--assuming you didn't produce the displacement map yourself and calculated exactly how much the grayscale map will interact with the displacement setting in the floor shader-- is to actually render it.

Inquiring minds want to know, "Is the number of boobies (or their size) in the scene a factor in rendering speed?"

Not usually. Well, not unless I've got them wearing the latest in reflective nanoskin technology in which case yes, yes it can.
