Personality/Characeristic: Cranky & Quirky
Fork is often late up at night and can rarely be seen at mid-day. Noone is really certain if this is why he always is so cranky and mean, but it certainly makes it worse. Fork doesn't seem to enjoy anything more than being in his room and being out when nobody else is. He sometimes takes a small walk or peek outside at night when everybody is sleeping, which he intends to do to stay away from other people. He loves fiddling wih stuff, though there isn't enough material in the area for him to actually make anything. This bores him, making it harder to stay inside, and he occasionally walks out to get fresh air. Fork is rather mean when it comes to meeting other people, and he never wants to give the answer which the questioner is looking for. He sees this as a hobby. He does like to come out to look at other people do activities, but never joins them himself (unless he absolutely has to), reason is unknown. Fork also likes coming out when it's bad weather, or he just thinks it's cozy (not many people out then).

HistoryÂ (warning, long):
Fork grew up in the northern area of the world, in a pretty much desolate-looking place. His family existed of five, two parents, two big brothers, and himself. Their house was big like a mansion and the backyard a bit smaller... a bit.

His childhood wasn't exactly like everyone else's. Just a couple of weeks after his first school year had started, he began spending most of his time in his room doing... well, nobody knew. This made him interact less with his family, making his relationship to his brothers pretty bad. They began teasing him (like all older brothers does), but this didn't say anything to Fork, he kept doing whatever he did in his room. His parents only thought this was temporary though, so they let him be.

As he grew older and began studying lots of science and math, he found a friend in Hugo the eagle owl. They began studying together and soon enough, Fork let him join him doing whatever it was in his room. Hugo stayed up late at night because of his species, which has inflicted the same thing on Fork. Even though he didn't sleep as much, he felt like he was more efficient doing this.

Fork's parents began wondering though, when they saw Fork spending more and more time in his room. And then he suddenly didn't come down to eat with them. They had invited him to do many things that he had didn't want to, but not eating dinner with the family? That was out of the question! They quickly came upstairs to his room (3d floor, that's why they couldn't hear him do stuff because they had their bedroom on the 1st floor) and opened the door. What they saw there must have been a miracle. Fork was fiddling with aÂ gigantic monster of metal. Sharp fangs and claws and everything. That wasn't the only thing. There must have been more than 20 inventions in there, every single one having at least some kind of weapon. They were so utterly amazed that they let him stay in his room without coming down for dinner a whole week. Now they saw that their son had inherited their talent for making terrible beasts and traps! You should have heard the moanings and seen the enviousness of his brothers that day, they could "only" do sports!

Then of course, came the day, that nobody could change... the day when Fork fell in love (yes you read right, no need to read it again). The unfortunate winner was a pitbull.... JK (THOSE DOGS ARE WAY TOO SCARY FOR HIM "OH SNAP THAT DROOLE" HE'D SAY) it was Morelle the skuas. She was utterly beautiful... fro him at least, she wasn't too popular with the boys, but neither did he care. They began dating (you should have seen the parent's reactions), and they got to know each other more and more. Morelle showed Fork all the beautiful things about the north, the nature, the winter, the rain, the sun. He got a new vision on life. Then it was his turn to show who he was. When she saw all those things he had made, she was first scared, but then impressed, she hadn't seen anyone that could make such things before!
Later (it only took a month before he thought he wanted to marry her), he sent a marriage letter to Morelle.
It went something like this:

I might not be a poet
Neither a great bird
But I'll tell you what you are
A dazzling star
And you have a place in our herd

~Will you marry me?
Fork used some hours on that (his brothers had now moved out of the house, maybe because they were too mad that their younger geek got a true love before themselves, who knows).

The weird thing was... he didn't get any answer. Even on the next day, she didn't even show up at school (last year at school). He waited for her to show any sign of existence... But... it never came.

After this dread Fork felt like his life was worth nothing and that it could collapse at any time. "Why... what happened?" he often said to himself. He didn't return to school the rest of that year, causing him to not be able to get any jobs that he wanted, and he never went to school again. His parents heard of the happening and his mom tried to trust him with love while his father showed off huge robots to maybe set a spark in him again, but for no use.Â Not even his best friend Hugo could cheer him up.

Fork, nevertheless, had a religion. It was his only way out from suicide. So, he decided that there was nothing for him here, and that he needed to act to get away from this madness. He quickly went up in his room and found a map hidden among the several books on the bookshelf. Fork knew his parents loved him so they'd go after him once he left. Sooo, also knowing they were pretty smart, he chose a place that was his least favorite. A small town that had just opened, and it was small... and all the people probably knew each other.... Bah, he would rather live there than ever come back or see his parents again. He sneaked out at night and disappeared into the night.
