Yup! Sometimes I really freaked out seeing some of my older sketchy pieces were so popular that nothing new and freshly done, even if extremely elaborate, came to match these older popular pieces

I know precisely what you are saying, but with that, I like to keep in mind that it is a good thing to create something that can look good forever. So if one of my older pieces is liked more than some of my newer stuff, I try to remember that

Mechas are awesome, yet require a lot of patience and labour even for simple execution. I guess that can be a key point of my next study/portfolio piece.

I think you can pull it off; I was considering doing some mecha lineart some time but it probably requires doing some studying first.
