"Lily, I-," Sev started, touching Lily's warm hand. And then a hand slammed into his face. "ACK!"James voice sounded out loudly over Sev's yelp, "Hey Lily Love!"
"One of these days, Potter, I'm going to kill you," Lily said, voice eerily quiet.
Ok ok ok, I know James and Lily end up together, but that's only because James interrupted every single possible moment that Sev and Lily might have had. (Oh, and Snape called Lily a mudblood.) Honestly, though, James, give em a break!

Agreed! James is for Lily as Lily is for James. I just figured, knowing James, that he would butt in at opportune moments and spoil everything for our dear Snivelous, who only wanted to get his feelings out there before Potter did.

You're right, it's just that after 7th book many people (girls mainly) started to worship him as some romantic hero or what 
For me, it's still that mean, cowardly, cruel, biased etc. Snape. Though I do feel bad for him too...sometimes
