A cough from the entrance startled her away from the music that she'd been humming in her head.

In the entry way leaned her master, watching her with mocking eyes.

Belle spun to a stop in the large ball room, blushing to her roots. Her dance partner sloshed next to her. "I, uh, I - I was -"

"You were dancing."

She looked down at her feet, "Um, yes."

"Does it help?" he asked.

"Help what?" she wondered, clutching her dancing partner, the mop.

"Help to clean by dancing," he said, half waltzing into the room himself.

She smiled, "It's very effective. You should try it," she said, proffering him the mop.

"I'd rather not," he made a face.

"You don't dance?" she was surprised.

"No," he said, as though it were obvious.

"Did you ever learn?" she stepped closer.

"What business is it of yours, dearie?" he demanded, sarcasm thick in his voice.

"Well, I could teach you," she placed the mop gently on the floor. She held her arms out to him. He backed away.

"C'mon, it's not that bad," she smiled, catching his hand. He froze where he stood, blinking at her with an inexplicable expression. "Here," she said, "You step backwards when I step forwards, and then we step together this way-" he turned along with her, "And there's six steps to a rotation." His hand wrapped around her waist fluidly as a tune began to play. Magic. She smiled up at the large ceiling.

He was quick- he never stepped on her foot once, and he was quick to spin her out, and catch her when he spun her back in.

"You're very good for never having danced before," she said skeptically, expecting that having never danced before was a lie.

"No," he smirked, "I merely observe. You're always cleaning, dearie."

She realized then, that she often danced when she cleaned. She blushed again.

"I'm sorry- I'll stop-," she said, swaying away.

He stepped forward, grabbing her up again, a glint in his eye, "If dancing is the more effective way to clean, then I don't mind." He spun her closer to him, hand wrapping more firmly around her waist.

She smiled and nodded cordially, "If you say so."
