Automates are my own personal robot idea that has been the focus of my art. In short, they are relics of an apocalyptic war and gain varying levels of intellect. Not considering themselves living, they go even far enough to create organic bodies for themselves by modifying human DNARelated content

Second, Nope! 1,3,and 5 are all the mechanical forms of the Automates.
2 and 4 are the organic bodies they artificially created.
Each robotic form continues until it is invalidated by the next robotic form (eventually used as surrogate bodies)
Simultaneously, each organic form continues until it is invalidated by the next organic form.
