My favorite character has always been Fox. He's been my main since smash 64 and I just really like the Star Fox series as well C:
But my other favorites to play as are Donkey Kong, Link and Ike, and Yoshi!

Nice! I like the changes they made to Pit in smash 4. And Palutena's a fun character but I'm not so good with her yet.

She can be a really challenging character, but when you get used to the controls, then she will be your ticket!
