Those fruits are meant to be guava, I've never had any but I've read that they're delicious and very healthy. Their skin is like that of a pear and green-yellow, the flesh is red and juicy. I'd really love to eat them one day.

In Mexico we known them as ''guayaba''. But the translation to english seems to be ''guava'...Weird for us(?)Β
And yes, is pretty delicious~ Raw, or cooked with water, sugar and cinnamon...Even the juice is tasty.
There are plenty of varieties ... From the ''pink guava'', which is green on the outside and pink inside, to one which is yellow inside and out.
The only problem is that it has TOO many seeds.
On the other hand, I really like the way you draw~
Even if it seems to me a little ... stigmatized about the personalities of the Gods (Tezcatlipoca was not just a bloody, angry and possessive, tempting God, sworn enemy of Quetzalcoatl, in fact heΒ was also lord of the sky and earth, source of life; Guardianship and protection of man, origin of power and happiness, and even sibling and accomplice of Quetzalcoatl in some legends), I think it's a very beautiful story ~
And besides, it's ... Nice that someone that is notΒ Β (to my knowledge)Β mexican make a comic about our folklore and ancient legends ...

As for Tezcatlipoca, I'm well aware of the duality of the gods and their "good" and "bad", or rather "dangerous" sides, and I think I have made them clear in my comic. Maybe if you read on you will see that I do not stigmatize Tez at all. In fact, he's one of my most favourite characters, exactly because he is both generous and dangerous - the enemy and friend both, all depending on his mood. I do not mean to present Mictlantecuthli as a "good" god the whole time, either. I mean to present them from different sides throughout the story.
Anyway, I'm glad you're interested in my comic.

I'm from Germany, my dad has always been interested in anthropology and prehistoric and ancient cultures so we had a lot of books at home on these subjects. The Aztecs somehow fascinated me from a very young age, this story was in its core developed when I was maybe 12-14 years old... a long time ago. Even though now I sometimes regret not having chosen the Maya for their prettier art *laughs*.
I'm happy you like the story so far and will continue to do so. Right now updates are rare and few due to personal circumstances, but it's not going to be abandoned before it's done.

there'll be more information about the festival eventually. since we are following Metz' POV and he hasn't got a clue (all a bit much for him to take in at once) we also don't know (except me of course
