I thought to literally let Seifer freeze Hayner with his cold eyes. That was the basic idea behind this picture.It made me realize once again how much I still need to improve my art... there are so many things I'm unhappy with here.
First, Seifer's nose. I hate it. I redrew it so often and still it wouldn't look like I wanted it to. So I stopped and left it... acceptable. Meh.
The background is simply NOT THERE and I used brushes and textures to cover that big problem of my blocked creativity...
I'm pretty OK with how Hayner turned out, though.
Hope some of the Seiner fans amongst you like it regardless of my own critique.

Hey, don't be so hard on yourself. If I could drew like that I would be jumping up and down like a loon!

ja, ich kann mich dem bisherigen auch nur anschliessen. Hayner ist recht gut geworden. pose, proportionen... die coloration ist ebenfalls sehr ansprechend.
und ich verstehe auch, wo du bei Seifer nicht zufrieden bist
nichts desto trotz bin ich sehr froh, mal wieder was neues von dir zu sehen

I agree with everything that's been said so far! It's really lovely ^_^ I love the cool designs you did with the coloring. It reminds me of how Shiva is always the ice queen summon in FF games. Like, I can imagine her making flowers out of ice crystals.
I'm not weird I swear.
I really like how lost Hayner looks. It makes me wanna grab him and hug him. Don't worry, Big ol' mean Seifer won't hurt you!
My only problem with it is the fact that I can't do a cosplay version of it.
Well, I guess I could, but there would have to be photomanipulation involved, and I would have to wear a shirt. Boo.

I really like Hayner's pose! I can see where you're coming from with your own self-critique, but I think the feeling of the picture still definitely came through.
