I mentioned in my journal that I was trying to draw Sherlock, and I thought maybe some of you want to see how I went about it.So have this.
Hope you find it interesting. ^^
There are more sketches, might post a sketchdump later. Or even a real picture, who knows.
Of course I don't own Sherlock. Do I have to give credit for sketches?

I find fascinating the fact that draughtsmans (is this a real word for people that draw?) are able to find out the minimum lines that allows us to recognize the person represented.
It's the same with language : we can not only order the same sounds in an infinite number of meaningful combinations, but we can also recognize those combintations when the sounds differ, like when someone has an accent !
(well, sorry if I'm unclear, English ain't my mother tongueβ¦)
