The cartoon is funny, but honestly octopi do have very good eyes and they are pretty smart too. You must be thinking of starfish.

Indeed, but I didn't want to draw very original looking octopus so I didn't add eyes etc. I guess it's octopus-ish now, which means it can be little dumb too ; )
