Now now, this is actually what happened. The heroes can't win every time now can they?Decided to do a sequel with Raven and Terra's mud fight for a few reasons. One: As usual, not totally satisfied with the last one, even though I do like it. Two: Never done an "in peril" pic before. Three: Wanted to do draw Terra's apprentice uniform again because it's awesomely weird.
I'm alright with this one, actually. Trying to be a tiny bit more outside the box when it comes to my scenarios. Usually I'll just do portraits, but doing actual scenes is much more creative and worth the time.
Hopefully you guys won't kill me for showing Raven losing. Maybe someday I'll draw her with the upper hand in the fight. Maybe, after I rest my drawing hand for a bit.

This had to be one of the best fight scenes in the whole series. Not only was it excellently laid out, but the emotional drive behind it was unbelievable. I think that, despite her misgivings, by the end of the second season, Raven had just come to trust Terra and was getting used to the idea of a sixth Titan. The fact that Terra's betrayal came at this point must have been supremely upsetting for her, and this came through when we saw her losing control of her emotions (the four eyes being a symbol for huge upheavals within her). I think you could have brought the emotion of the moment out a bit better, e.g. by putting them face to face and making the expressions a bit more extreme. Terra looks a bit unconcerned, almost uninterested, while Raven... the mouth is good, but the eyes are her usual deadpan expression. In the show, this was one of the few moments where Raven's eyes showed true fear.

I do see your point, however the moment you're describing isn't this one. This moment is nearing the climax of the fight in which Terra is trying to get a rise out of Raven. The moment she's attacking Raven superficially with prods and insults to force her temper.
Raven's suffering her engulfment and getting mad, but trying her hardest to keep her cool, hence the deadpan eyes while trying to convince herself and Terra that "anger is pointless" and that her emotions are under control. Only a few taunts later does she go Trigon and thus lose herself to Terra's tactics. The moment you're referring to is the actual part where Terra "finishes" her off, lending her expression to be more desperate.
I suppose the title might have had something to do with the miscommunication, as it was Terra's mocking goodbye before dragging Raven under, so I can see how it might have seemed out of place.

Right... I see what you mean. In that case, I'd rework Raven's mouth, as it just looks a bit too desperate for that moment. As I tried to say, her eyes and mouth don't really fit together.
Also, I don't quite think the composition shows the situation quite perfectly. You have a frontal view of Terra, with a slight slant, and a three-quarter view of Raven, who's pretty much straight. In my opinion, this makes for a somewhat undynamic image. A different option might have been to have them both slanting towards one point at the top of the image.
Please note that I'm not exactly qualified to talk about this subject, as I can't draw worth toffee... but it's just the way I see this picture. I do like the way you've done Terra's contours underneath the suit, as it makes her look more believeable than the original design.

*suddenly, Terra is swallowed up to her neck in shadows and Raven is freed* Me. *he steps into the light, and it's revealed he's wearing a black cloak, black knee-high leather combat boots, a black long-sleeved, skin tight shirt, black jeans, a crimson chain for a belt, an onyx ring with a ruby in the shape of a rose on it, and he has shoulder length black hair and semi-dark blue eyes* You ok, Raven? *Terra glares at him* Who are you? *he points at himself* Who, me? Oh, just your average, run-of-the-mill neighborhood mage. Also your replacement. *the shadows wrap tighter around her, not enough to be painful, but enough to restrict any and all movement, he raises his right hand, and the shadows turn into a ball around everything below her neck and she rises so she's not touching the ground, therefore completely nullifying her earth powers* Not so fun being helpless, now is it, Terra? *he's wearing a devilish smirk as he's holding her up via his magic*
