History: Not much is known about Beatriz's past. She doesn't talk about it! And if you ask, she'll pretend she didn't hear you.

What is known is that she hails from Elmheart, where she spent decades studying. She traveled all the way to Kora City a couple of years ago, bringing all her baggage of knowledge with her. That includes her many, many different elixirs, which seem to be actually legit and not an attempt at scamming pokemon. Curiously, her potions have no effect for battling. They instead aid pokemon in other needs, like bringing a fever down or clearing stuffy sinuses. Some pokemon say Beatriz's business is a front and she actually works with witchcraft. She neither confirms nor denies this.

After a few years of practice in sparring and even more studying, she passed the test with flying colors and earned her mark of Ambition. She also found an apprentice to take under her wing.

Personality: Beatriz seems to be in a permanent good mood, always laughing and occasionally cracking jokes (which she doesn't do often because they're terrible). Her upbeat attitude may make her seem foolish to others, but Beatriz knows exactly what she's doing at all times. In spite of her cheerful behavior, she keeps a little distance from others and seems to be a reserved person. She doesn't get attached easily.

Beatriz is in a constant search for power and knowledge. Sometimes she also speaks of turning metal into gold, but no one takes her seriously.

Other: As a solosis, the lack of limbs infuriates her. She uses Psychic to create hands for herself.

Trivia:

- Her psychic hands are suspiciously similar to a Haunter's. If you point this out, she won't explain why.

- Occasionally takes chugs of a purple potion that stays on her hat. The content and effects of that potion are unknown. How she's able to drink it with a gel-like substance surrounding her is also unknown. She refills it when it empties.
