Gates to Infinity probably has the softest ending in a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game. it's just so so sweet. i think it's the only one where someone (Hydreigon) accompanies you on your way home for as long as he could. and all your dear friends are looking up at you, defying fate to remember you. idk i think it feels much less lonely and traumatic. it's vry cute
