The red card's really paid off as a background. I see you've requested critique, but in itself it's really good. If you're looking to do something else with the medium a few more character-telling poses would be awesome.

Hey ~thewildside, thanks for the comment, crap scan aside Im quite happy with it too! When you say "character-telling poses" what do you mean?

Cheers!

I think Moviebob explains it the best

It's about femenism, but the point that he makes about bodily positions is what I'm getting at. Each pose is set out to imply certain things, like "hero poses," etc. Each one of these is telling of the character.
I found this bit seriously interesting, so I'm interested to see what you think.

What did you think?
I was looking through some old Hellboy comics, and I saw that sometimes he looks a little lost in the woods, if that helps?

Definitely a good watch! Thanks for the link!

Theres two parts of vid that interest me, the drawing of female characters (something I love doing) and the element you pointed me to. Both equally important in my development.

The drawing of women has concerned me recently making me stop and think about poses and how I draw them

Having grown up on comics heroic poses come naturally. But I'm hoping to nail some more meaningful images to form now on!

I'd be really interested to see what you do with the female poses. I agree with the vid that women are generally done in sexymirror poses, but that's not to say there aren't good examples out there.
