Description
Screenshot of a basic data plotter. Each red dot represents a location fix with a speed greater than 0, each black dot represents one with a speed of 0.Longitude is on the horizontal axis, latitude is on the vertical because I move around longitudinally on my run a great deal more than I do latitud...inally? o.O'
Lots more work still to be done, but this is the milestone point that says a couple of things:
- The location data logging side of things is operational
- The location data is sane (all data fits with all other data)
- The location data parsing system is working
Coupled with a few more things - the mount for the tablet is installed and works as intended, the battery life on the tablet is good enough for a full day of constant data logging, and the intended method for processing the location logs will handle the load (there are roughly 35Mb of data logs loaded into the system at the moment).
Next stage - update the interface for the logger to provide real time updates on location and speed, load data on Authority To Leave locations into the system, and start logging coordinates of ATL locations for the onboard system to flag for driver attention as required.
The logging system is an Asus Eee Transformer 16Gb TF101, the processing system is the Jade language running on an old ex-lease sytem... With an ATI 512Mb graphics card in it for some reason...
IT'S ALIVE! ALIVE!!
