Spending some time with MMD recently and I think I kind of understand how it works now. I was mostly playing around with the facial expressions today. I really like the options that you can mess around with in MMD as you can pretty much make some unique expressions when you start combining the different positions together.

I still feel a little confused about the whole motherbone and center bone thing. I was trying to use those 2 bones to make a simple sitting pose, but I was getting mixed results and only managed to accidentally get what I wanted after messing around with it a couple of times.

At the end of it all, I think once I feel comfortable playing around with a model that has a simple bone structure like this one, I think I can try to move on to something that's a little more complicated and figure out skirts and stuff.
