Description
Here's a quick peek at the sketch of a print I'll be taking to Lazy Dragon Con in McKinney, Texas. My dragon girl, Jade. I purposely left the background white as I was goin' for an old pin-up style feel like Varga and some of Petty's work.See you at the con!
Made in Photoshop.

Thank you, it certainly took some work to get her in that pose. I'm happy it turned out well.

I see you color the inks before you color the fill. How do you know what colors to make the inks if you do them first? Also, are you inking in Adobe, or what?

Yes, I'm inkin' in Photoshop. I typically have in mind which colors I'm going to end up with. The nice thing about already having color inks is that if I change my mind about the color of something, I can just go to hue/saturation and adjust it to suit.

I like this one too. It is a lot more relaxed than the original. She was originally up on her knees, with the front part still in this position. It was a lot more sassy, but I think I prefer the casual look of this one. A lot more lazy dragon!

Thanks, for five seconds I thought about goin' with some backward spirally horns and then decided against it. I'm happy with these so far.
