Because poking fun at gender-confused emo kids is fun!
Believe it or not, Jeff is a D&D character. It belongs to a friend of mine, who has a long history of really annoying and rather pathetic characters. Jeff is the funniest thing she's ever come up with. Ever. He's an emo class, and he comes with abilities to match. Like his magic pen, with which he writes really depressing/bad poetry on many surfaces. He can also cut himself and squirt his emo blood at his enemies.
I got bored and drew this for fun, and when my friends saw it they insisted I put it online.. So I did. Pausing to color a little first, of course. ^^

very funny, although i would like to see the issues of gender-confused emo kids taken to a higher and more serious level. the statment being made is clear but it seems very direct and blunt. in order to take this to a level of "higher art" you need to figure out how to add more elements, such as absraction, into your work. you need to address the figure on the field and the plane so that the figure becomes apart of the field and travels back in space. use contrasting colors and take into account the symbolism found in these colors.
i hope this art critique has helped you and has inspired you to through out your own style and conform to the style of the majority art world.
