In my headcanon Vermoud and Toppo test Pride Trooper aspirants by locking them up in an empty room with a TV playing an endless loop of Jiren putting on and taking off his shirt. If they can last at least an hour without fainting from excessive sexiness, they're in.

Well to be fair, Jiren did beat Goku down into base form several times (even scared him back into base form once, LOL) - and Goku needed energy from both Frieza ad Vegeta to get back up and fight - so I reckon Jiren performed really well against the main character with plot armour
