Awesome presentation skills you go there
Very nice semi-realistic style you got going there too , doing a similar texture style for my FYP game ^_^ As much as a like realism it doesn't always have its place in games i prefer games which make good use of level of detail in there art style.
Don't know if you ever played DotA and HoN but they're basically the same thing HoN is a the DotA mod for Warcraft 3 made into an official game, HoNs a great game but everytime i play it my eyes lost for where to look next there's so much unnecessary details that draw you attention away from the character models.
Heres a screenshot of DotA [link]
now heres a screenshot of HoN [link] Could be just me but as amazing as it looks whenever i play it, i find that i'm constantly paying more attention to the floor details that the look of my own character xD
Where as with the wacraft 3 artstyle the characters would stand out and draw my attention more easily

Thanks. I admit I'm not a big fan of realism. If i wanted to look at something realistic i would look at a photo. I also find a more stylized work more memorable, the more realistic something is the harder is it to recognize. I have also played DotA, I must admit I'm a big fan of the blizzard style.

Wow, I very much enjoy this picture! What's the backstory, if any behind this pic?
Or is the C. Lion just in a white outfit for the hell of it?

This was for a 3d competition, where we had to redesign the wizard of oz character of our choice in a new style. I chose to make a more anthro version of the lion. Not much story behind the clothing, i guess i just thought it would be cool if he was more stylish and bold after he got more courage.

you know, it is rare that I ever taek notice of 3d work. I usually hate it. It's either bad, or it's extreamly good for 3d but still boll like and clunky to those of us raised on 2d animation. But this? this is an exception! this is cool.
What I like here is that you didn't aim at that ultra real touch that makes so much 3d fail in my opinion. You didn;t go for that ultra real touch. You were content to actually use stile and design a character rather than try to push how real and in your face it could be. I really like 3d when it's done this way but it's soo rare.
So stellar peace. I like lions alot so maybe I'm a little biased, but it's still incredible none the less LOL
So I have to ask now. This is for a game you say?

Thanks for the kind words. I have to admit i also am a fan of more stylized work. realistic is cool and all but so over used and colourless so i wanted to try out using a high poly normal map and a heavy painted texture. I have to admit I'm really happy with the result and will probably use this style again in my work.
Sadly this model isnt for a game, its for a competition on a 3d website called game artisans, sorry if that lead you on. This was merely done for experimentation, practice and above all else fun.
