Description I worked this up over the last couple days. Sort of a Games Workshop-style reference image of my Tethis-Pattern bolter. I've tried to make sure there's an obvious visual link between this and official bolter designs, while still keeping it distinct from them.

Don't know why, but the fore grip reminds me of that of a meltagun...

That aside, this does definitely feel like a GW bolter.

Why are there ejection ports on both sides?

Because like modern firearms bolters can be set to be used by left hand or right hand shooters. Remember Space Marines are created from normal human men, meaning that while they become superhuman they still retain certain characteristics, such as dominant hand preference. So for left hand shooters the brass ejects left, for right hand it ejects right, all the armorer has to do is swap the bolt.

I've wondered that myself. I'm just following the Games Workshop style on that.

Maybe so they are easier to make twin-linked? Since logically one of the guns won't be able to use it's old ejection port.
