Meet the final Rider of the story, Kamen Rider Codex, a Card Rider like Decade with an entirely different skill set... and a totally different background.

Takeshi Yuujo is a musician trying to make it big, and he's almost achieved his goal. Unfortunately, the day of his first big gig also happens on the night of the first total Eclipse of the Planet, when the Sun and Moon, through forces arcane, completely eclipse the planet in darkness for three hours. During this, an ancient evil, a moon-bound race of shape-shifting hybrid monsters called Lugane (loo-ga-nay), who decide to make their first hunting ground the site of Takeshi's concert. After one particularly wicked blow to the back of his head, Takeshi goes down hard and awakens hours later with no memory AT ALL of anything from the last twelve hours. When he staggers in to the record agency to find out how the concert went, he finds everyone slain, save for one man... who turns out to be one of the Lugane's leaders, Ganeko, a cat-like female beast who develops an instant interest in him and decides to give him the means to destroy her race... FOR FUN. With that, Takeshi takes the Codexer and dons the suit for the first time, beginning his double-life in one glorious flaming blast of destruction that claims ONLY the life of ten Lugane soldiers and NOTHING else.

Embarking on a quick trip through the Worlds using the Codexer's unique ability to open a portal, he soon arrived in DiLord's World, only to be instantly overpowered by the senior Rider's superior skill and power. Having the Codexer drained of its power and thrown with it into a portal, Takeshi is locked away in a pocket dimension, alone with only his thoughts. It is here that he discovers that the Codexer can recharge itself, and patiently waits, using his computer-like memory to record and process for himself all the attack techniques and skills of the other Riders as he watches them through Vision Windows in the dimension's walls... and takes in interest in helping Tsukasa...

Codex is, in itself, a unique system in that the buckle can be placed on three different locations on Takeshi's waist and spawn the belt (He prefers resting it on his right side), which can result in some difficult transformations. However, he's trained himself to do what must be done with a sense of flair. Reaching for the Codex Holder (portable card-holder mounted on his right side (hidden by the Codexer Buckle)), he takes out the Codexer and places it on his right side, spawning the belt. Tossing the card into the air, he spins once and catches it, then tosses it to the left, sending it flying through the Codex Reader slot three times. Reaching his right hand down, he catches the card after the third scan and holds it in place above the Codexer, while reaching his left arm out to point towards his foe. Calling out, "HENSHIN!", he drags his left hand, balled into a fist, towards the right side of his head, all while swiping the card BACKWARDS through the scanner. The Codexer will announce "RIDER CODE: CODEKUSU (CODEX)", and, as the card flies up to rest against Takeshi's head, the bar-code on it will expand, spreading out and down to cover the left side of his body and form the suit and armor.

While in this form, Codex's armor is mostly focused on his left side, leaving him susceptible to damage on his right. To cover for this, Takeshi has trained his body to be equally strong on both sides in order to fake his enemies out. After all, who'd think a leftt-side armored Rider will be stronger than he looks with his unarmored right side?

As Codex, Takeshi has access to four kinds of Code Cards:

Rider Codes, which allow him to augment his own form with the powers of other Riders, up to and, at a later point, including their ultimate form;

Weapon Codes, which allow him to summon the weapons used by the other riders to use himself;

Skill Codes, which give him the power to temporarily copy and use the abilities and special attacks of other Riders;

Finish Codes, which enable either his own finishing attacks or those of the Rider he's augmented himself with.

Rider Code Cards have a special function; when a Rider Code is used that pertains to a Rider who's power comes from multiple sources (ie. Double's GaiaMemories, OOO's Medals & Fourze's Switches), the Rider Code allows him to SIMULTANEOUSLY fuse all of their available powers into his body at once; For instance, all of Double's Memories will be fused into him, granting him access to the Solid Doubler, A large Sniper Rifle created from the Metal Shaft and the Trigger Magnum, which, thanks to Philip's Memories, is able to shoot cyclone-strength magma rounds that track the foe through ANYTHING they hide behind.

In this form, Takeshi has no weapons of his own, which is where his Weapon Code Cards come in handy.

Finisher is "FINISH CODE: CODEX COM-PILER", a destructive left-side hammer punch to the head that sends the foe ground-ward to bounce several feet into the air, where Codes finishes them off with an energy-boosted pile-driver from mid-air.

I had the idea to make a Decade-type Rider that wasn't out of his world, and strangely enough, the idea fully came to me while listening to "Deep Breath", one of the Agito theme songs performed by ROLLY. The reason the barcode only affects one side is entirely due to his choice of buckle placement; if he placed it in the middle, the armor would fully affect his ENTIRE body, but because he's more comfortable resting his right arm on it before certain actions in battle, he is rarely seen without half his armor.
