My first thoughts are 'The ring', except with a spider rather than an unwashed moppet. Truth be told the thoughts of spiders living in my TV are somewhat disturbing too.

Whoa. Freaky. Probably a power surge. Sometimes after I turn the lights off in my house, they glow for a few minutes before the charge finally leaves it. Either that or your t.v.'s possessed.
