Who agrees that the Mercer that we have to kill in [PROTOTYPE2] should be named Evil Mercer ?
The [PROTOTYPE] and the Heller skin for [P2] should be classified as Good Mercer.

Tons of people were outraged that Activision made Alex the main bad guy in Prototype 2, but he wasn't even a good guy in the first place. Very much like Kratos, he feels no empathy whatsoever towards his victims, be they Blackwatch, military or civilian. And that's actually what I like about this character.
Anybody doesn't like that fact, they can ask the man themselves.

Well,I always saw Alex an anti-hero.He only killed anyone who got in his way or tried to stop him.In P2 I wonΒ΄t lie,I would love that he was the main protagonist again.I donΒ΄t hate Heller,I like him in fact.Honestly even if this was a game were Mercer had to destroy NY comnpletely I would play with all the fun in the world,truth is being bad or good,Mercer will always be my favorite Prototype.

Alex Mercer is a cool character, but I like to stop thinking about his character when it gets past Prototype 1, since Prototype 2 ist a shitty game and not only didn't do the franchise any justice at all, it didn't do Alex Mercer any justice at all.

Agreed. Total character retconning. Mercer wasn't a good guy, not by a longshot, but he wasn't the world-domination Albert Wesker emulator that showed up in his skin in P2. He was becoming a better guy throughout the course of Prototype, too; Prototype 2 was a total waste of his character. I wish the new writers had invested more in him rather than trying to push forth their own guy.
As for being evil in the first game, that was all on the character - and Heller has the exact same cruelty potential. It's all faulty logic.

During the first game. I questioned weather or not it was good idea for Alex to comsume Elizabeth Green. If Alex does come back the way the many fans want ( burst out of Heller) I would not be suprise to see Green again. That would also explain a lot about a lot in P2 ( enspecialy sense he hear the vocies of everyone he ate in his head).

You got a point there!But I think Green wonΒ΄t appear again,because the Prototype 2Β΄s Anchor issue comics said that Alex wanted to put an end to humanity,and it was not even mentioned that he was having an inside clash with GreeneΒ΄s consciouness.

Most players won't have read the comic though... and even if they had maybe Greene would have had a more subconcious influence?
But i think that everyone wants Mercer back, least of all because he's awesome.
