I never think about that much until I see these kind of semi realistic drawings of pokemon instead of cartoons but, The dragons would have scales, and those more furryΒ ones would have that kind of detail. Awesome and very detailed drawing amazing job!

The effects with the scales are fantastic. They look sturdy and durable, as one would expect dragon scales to, but also retain the softness of the original designs, keeping the friendliness of the Dratini line well and truly intact. The water is gorgeous as well, it makes me think this is what the inside of the Dragon's Den would really look like. There's plenty of life in the eyes as well, enhancing that cute and familial atmosphere, and the gem on Dragonair have great detail. This pretty much nails what these Pokemon would look like in a more realistic setting.
