Topic 002: Hand. This is for the second topic in the 100 Topics For Drawing that I mentioned in this deviation .

Decided to try my hand at Naruto fanart since all the *other* sketches I attempted to do yesterday came out badly. The category that Topic 002 is under is "Soft and Peaceful," so I thought about a kid comparing the size of his hand to the size of his dad's, and, well, the rest came naturally, since Iruka was about the closest thing to a parent Naruto had. So, Iruka-sensei and a four-year-old Naruto.

It was a full combination of digital and traditional art - I scribbled a sketch, scanned it, worked on it digitally, then changed that to red, printed it out, and refined the drawing over that. Then I scanned it in and told Photoshop to drop out all the reds, which left me with my new sketch lines. I did that a couple of times until I was happy with the result, then scanned it in one last time and cleaned it up and added the flat fills in Photoshop.

I'm working on the coloring now. Will upload when finished. It'll probably end up in Digital Art since by that point the digital-ness will overwhelm the traditional-ness.
