As some of you are probably aware, there has been a spate of reporting of mature content artwork and literature in recent months, mainly by specific groups but also individuals. This reporting has resulted in many images and stories being deleted by the site administrators and in a number of cases caused the artist/writers to be suspended.
To be clear, all responsible community web sites must have terms of service (ToS) and clear rules as to what is, or is not acceptable and it is important that these rules are adhered to and enforced. This fact is not in question. There are some topics that should quite rightly be taboo and have no place in our community.
What is in question however, is the inconsistent application of these rules and the fact that in many cases the 'violations' are clearly not in breach of ToS and should never have led to deletions and/or result in a suspension. In way to many cases, the act of mass reporting is being used by organised groups as a tool to try and bludgeon site admins into acting against material and artists/writers who are creating fetish or erotic artwork/stories, even when this material does not violate the ToS.
There appears to be several groups who hold ultra puritanical views, who's members have decided to try and purge of anything even remotely erotic, regardless of it's adherence to the ToS and being clearly labelled as 'mature content'. In too many cases they have succeeded. This kind of mass trolling is both unethical and unjustified and could be characterised as organised harassment, something the admins should be taking direct action against.
In the six years I've been a member of this site, I've met some fantastic people and made many good friends. There are so many talented artists and writers who contribute to several small but vibrant niche groups, who have been directly or indirectly affected by this purge.
The sad reality is that many friends, artists and authors I know are now actively winding down their accounts here and will either stop publishing altogether, or are actively looking to go elsewhere, where their creative talent will be better protected.
I may well join them.
Sad days indeed.

i have mentioned before but after years of searching for this type of art and fantasy,i find it disturbing and petty that people and even groups would complain.

Yes, they have been driving away a lot of good artists from the site. As long as the piece doesn't violate the sites ToS, there should be no reason to complain, as you say, they can always just move on.
I'm glad you're enjoying my work. I rarely do freebies but I do take selected commissions.

there is just so much to view on here,i love transformations.
from disposable blowup sex dolls to guys being turned into permanent women, then made into something inanimate.
i guess my fave would be a commercial business making girls into sex toys to order, the customer dictates the specifications of this purchase

Yes, I will be posting mainly to TFMC Nexus for anything that's NSFW. However, I will still be contributing to my DA page.

However, please keep trying to post your incredible work.
In the meantime I am following you on MCComix and maybe Metrobay Comix too?
Please try Patreon as well.
There are many of us fans that will pay for great work like yours.

Thanks for your support bluemax, I will still be posting but some of my work may go elsewhere. I'm weighing up Patreon at the moment, not decided yet.
Aside from "Needs, Wants, Desires", lookout for a new story collaboration with over at MCComix shortly.

I will still be making a lot of free content to share and haven't made my mind up yet about Patreon.
The inconsistency of the moderators is one of the most frustrating aspects of DA for me, which I suspect wont change. I've started to post my work on a new website 'TFMC Nexus', which was started by like minded artists, who want their work displayed without the risk of arbitrary suspension. It's in its infancy but has already attracted a lot of artists and writers who share this niche genre.
I wouldn't characterise it as a safe space, (not keen on that term) but it will put the control in the hands of the artists, using sensible guidelines. Well worth a look.

I guess no one knew.
Wix is to freedom of expression and individuality that EA games is to StarWars!
Enjoy the article it explains why DA has changed so much for the worse in the last year.

Yeah this has been ongoing to greater or lesser extent for some years. It seems it's escalated recently though. And yes, the admins inconsistent application of their ToS and their unwillingness to explain why they feel something infringes just encourages the people doing this and discourages us artists from producing the art that we all came here to see. I've been calling them the DAdmiNazi's for some years. The first stage one can take if you are unhappy with the administration is to stop paying for Core memberships. I've suggested to some that they pick up AdBlocker Plus to remove the DA ads. Unlike many sites that live or die by their ads DA survives on it's Core memberships and other merchandise so they don't need the ads. Additionally DA's ToS says they won't impinge on us with ads that make noises, but they have no control over the ads that get played and they regularly are noisy ones and there is no effective way of reporting those ads. Since DA won't police themselves on their own rules it comes to US to do it - thus AdBlocker Plus. I have been on the site for eleven years, probably almost twelve, and I've NEVER felt like I was getting a service that I should pay for. I've never had a paid sub here. Not until the admins show that they care about the artists here. I know that the majority of the perps of these acts are children who should not even be able to see the adult content they are getting purged. I've had my own battles with them. And unlike other people who feel that mass complaints on a piece of art is a bad thing to be deleted I left their trolling up so that my watchers could see just who these turds are. Every time I have had to contact the admins with a problem I've never gotten a satisfactory resolution. And yes, I've had at least one piece removed from my gallery by the DAdmiNazi's and a one-month ban from posting. The most ridiculous part of it all is that they PM you telling you that if you have a question about it all to contact the admins, but since you are banned from posting you CANNOT post PMs even to the admins. I have also watched several great artists whose stuff I really enjoyed leave DA because they were tired of the BS from the DAdmiNazi's, and that's really curbed my own interest in the site. ONE of the main reasons I came here and still come here is for the fetish art that I enjoy. What we need to do is put together a counter campaign - we need to figure out who is reporting our stuff and publish their names so that we and our fans can return their misery back to them. Unfortunately I'm too frustrated with it all to organize this myself or I'd do it.

I think counter reporting for harassment is the only thing you can do but to be honest I don't think anything will stop it. The admins don't seem to want to actively tackle and quash this type of behaviour and have shown such inconsistency, that I fear for any artist/writer who gets targeted. As you say, the suspensions can happen without any recourse and communication with admins seems fruitless once a decision is made, regardless of it's validity.
The only long term solution I can see is to look to another artist friendly site.

After BigKahuna followed Curia in the involuntary banishment it became too clear to me this the bastion of expressive freedom is becoming more puritan by the hour. Maybe in likeness with the rise of the special snowflakes in 'real life'. Sometimes, I think I've been born too late. The 70s and 80s seemed like a great time to live in.

Yes, it seems that there are large segments of society who are engaging in some kind of victim-hood Olympics, where you must prove you are more offended/oppressed than anybody else.

It is sad friend, but I think it's also time. There's no reason to hang out in a hostile environment...at this point I'm convinced the best thing that could happen here is the place becomes populated with my little pony pictures, everyone else ends up somewhere more accommodating, and Wex has their crayola art gallery.

Expertly put. I've branched out into Doll Stroies , Patreon , and TFMC Nexus to share my stories in both fear and preparation of being booted from this site. If anyone knows of any other site for erotic and bizarre stories, please share the site with me and I'll post there as well. I want my stories to be enjoyed by all readers, and not censored by the sexually repressed few.
