Ahh, sliding in just in time with my secret santa to the awesome with their glowing sea slug character!I had just a BLAST working on this! Underwater scenes are my favorite to draw, and this is the first time i've experimented with drawing a jellyfish! I just love it! <3
So happy holidays to everyone!Β
OH! And before you say "DON'T TOUCH THE TENTACLES ASHKFSADL-" remember.. it's a sea slug. If this species is anything like most sea slugs, they won't be affected.
Which makes me tangent onto my favorite marine life form: the Glaucus (atlanticus or otherwise). They can absorb the venom from jellyfish and use it on others! Plus they're just incredible and beautiful and so coooolllll <3

That whispy glow effect over her body is really something else.Β That texture gives the water depth with particles resembling plankton, debris and other marine scenery.Β While in some aspects they are similar to water currents.Β Such a little effect that speaks volumes for building an environment.Β
Nice work on painting the jelly fish too.
Just the right amount of glow without being overbearing.
Also that character is just so cute.
