There are lots of guides on DA and other sites, man I totally relied on them for the first little while.

I used Gimp. :3 It's free, google it if you want to download. And it's not about the program, just remember to keep your composition. The picture was fantastic in black/white, so I just added soft colors and didn't mess with the black parts (which are various dark colors when in color) like many others do.

Hehe, I colored that picture too, and it doesn't look half as good as this.
And with Gohan's uniform...I usually don't bother with that much. It always seems to change anyways.

The original manga is canon. The anime aged him a year.(In the manga, you don't age in the Room of Spirit and Time) The american dub aged him a year. (Because Radditz kidnapping a five year old is 10x beter than him kidnapping a four year old.)
And Budokai was created toward the dub and the original.
