Or, "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Drawing with the Tablet".I know, I know, everyone and their grandmother has done this meme. HOWEVER! I wanted to do it too. I considered doing it with Trean, but quite honestly she doesn't do a lot of "emoting", so Rian it is.
Yes, I did do this all in Photoshop. This is a big step for me since I've had a lot of trouble getting past the pencil and paper step (I still love you, sketchbook! You've not been forsaken!), and you know what? I had fun, and I was so pleased to find out that drawing on the tablet, once you have the right tool, isn't as scary as I thought
Edit: Even so, I ended up going back to pencil for the Farael one:
Credit goes to for the meme.

I <3 my tablet.
Aside from the fact that the parchmenty-background makes the faces a bit hard to see, I really like this. Mostly because I myself have a pretty hard time drawing the same face in different emotions. Or drawing emotions at all! Most of my work just has a serious/angry face. I think it is a good sign of skill if someone can draw the same face showing different emotions or from different angles, and have it remain obviously the same person's face.

Yeah, I was thinking that about the texture too, but by the time I realized it was becoming an issue I just didn't feel like switching it. It's that chronic laziness again, you know
Glad you like it. Seriously, you should try to grab the meme, it's good practice if you've got a bunch of time to kill. Honestly, the reason I'm good at it at all is because this is basically all I do in my off time. Same character, endless permutations, over and over... obsessive and weird, as always.
