I can't keep up with all your deviations, you are a very productive artist! Unlike myself, who takes months to finish anything But I figured I'd comment on this one as it's a recent fave - not just because of his hotness but I really love that forearm. Ok, weird thing to love, but it's very well done and in such difficult angle to get right - and a very nice job on the rest as well

ARGH, sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been suffering a severe comment backlog. -__- But yes, I've been making art like a crazy person because I have absolutely no life (and since the move, no real job... XD). I'm only this quick because line work is a whole lot less labor-intensive than painting.

THANK YOU MUCH. I'm SO glad you like the arm, that was actually one of my favorite parts of this. It really is a tricky angle that I tend to avoid, but this time I just really needed to do it, and I did it! Getting a compliment on my angles and anatomy from you always makes me INCREDIBLY happy.

Thank you!! I'm ABSURDLY in love with him, it's terrible. I love doing arms, but more often than not they're covered by sleeves or something. I need to do some bare man-arms. That'll make me happy!

He is indeed Farael's father. He is a TREMENDOUS bastard, even though he and Trean really did love each other. I normally hate redirecting people to comment threads and other deviations to answer stuff, but his and Trean's story is kind of on the complicated side. Someone else asked something like this earlier, and this was my answer to that (with links to the necessary pics that give actual info: [link] and later I give her the summary of why he's that way to begin with). Sorry I make everyone go on a scavenger hunt, I'm a terrible person. I should... probably put this in the FAQs or something.

i think he's pretty cool, even if i don't know who he is i love how even though the rest is flat color, you've got gradients on the wings makes the piece stand out - and the border is a nice finish to it

I'm glad you like it! I was trying to think of a way around using the gradients, but I didn't really have a choice, since the wings have a pretty serious color difference between the upper and lower parts.

YESSSSS FANSERVICE YUMM. It's been a while since I've done some proper finished fanservice. Actually, maybe it hasn't. I don't know... when I'm not making it, I miss it, so it always seems like a while.

Vulnerable? Really? YAY, that's what I was trying for... initially I wanted him looking a little more "GRR", but then somehow it morphed into him being kind of just "mrr" instead. WHICH I LIKE.
